I'm using version 1.3.1426.0. I've always kept MPC-HC (also my video driver) up-to-date in hope that there's a fix to my problem.
I'm not really certain on what caused this picture corruption. I suspect MPC-HC decoder is at fault because another DXVA decoder (Microsoft's) works just fine (except aspect ratio issue).
This was already discussed and resolved. See the DiAVC thread!

(I got reply from the Avira AntiVir developers. They said it's a FALSE POSITIVE and that it will be fixed in the next signature update. You should do the same: Report the problem to Avast)

BTW: Was the DivX H.264 decoder mentioned in this thread? It's free and it's definitely fast!
