How to tell if DVDShrink was used on a copied DVD?

I have a couple old independent movies on burnt DVDs that I'm converting. I'm pretty sure I copied them myself from the originals years ago.

The source footage has some blocky artifacts and now I'm suspecting I may have used DVDShrink to reduce the films from dual-layer to single layer. Although the original film source is really grainy anyway, so it may just be a result of that.

Is there any way to tell?

If the original was dual layer, I might have to try and find it for sale again to get a better archive version. The DVD cover images don't indicate 'dual-layer' either. The films are only about 1h15min each so it does seem unlikely.

Thanks
