If it requires all the I frames of the dolby vision track to match those of the reencoded HEVC, that could become a problem for sources that require reencoding. I'd have to investigate how hard it would be to get around.

I may just add a hidden option to tell BD-RB not to include dolby vision, that way you could at least get an HDR version without FF/REW problems.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? So far I think I've only gotten this report from FilipeAmadeuO. It would be nice to know if it is limited to only a certain player before I spend a lot of time on it.

The improvement you have done it’s on the right track.
I think if there is there is no negative side effect it’s better than the working version.
Why not add the Dolby vision layer as a selectable video ? Then uses can select the layer or not.
