I have a quick question, why would a mpeg4 AVC 1080i movie take twice as long to encode with BD_Rebuilder as a 1080p? I thought that because it shares half of each frames information with the next frame, it seems to me like it should take half as long as a 1080p reencode. The couple of 1080i movies I have done so far resulted in less than smooth motion playback. Does BD_Rebuilder work for progressive only or if I encode it at 720p will it look better and also take less time?
