OK, the original errors I was getting using QuEnc only occur when I set process priority to 2 (so 2 QuEncs are running). When set to 1 the encode completes fine.
Also, the advise for hard coding the subs worked great - maybe this could be included as a feature?
Also, could a size entered under custom be made to be the default setting?
