Surely similar but Sonys own IP and R&D most probably it was also allready used in PS3 times
It surely is better overall then Samsungs R&D which is questionable if it's not overall heavy 3rd party influenced (codeved with Yuvsoft)
Sony always fascinates me in those regards when it comes to their R&D Power, in so many fields.
