Have a look at this tool:

Feed it with .srt and adjust positioning to keep inside video.
I use the setting font size: 78, margin: 152.
That will keep the subs just above black bottom bar on AR 21:9 videos.
Of course when watching AR 16:9 movie you don't wan't the subs that high,
I use margin 70-78 depending what looks the best.

For some reason easySUP have issues with 24 fps source and I haven't figured out how to solve that.
So I use goSUP that works just fine on 24 fps source.
