My
favourite American misinterpretation (of which there are quite a few) of an English word is the word 'fanny', where they sort of got it totally back-to-front
(as it were)
One day we will take back, that which is rightfully ours.
[Unfortunately, they managed to syphon off all of our gold, soup kitchens were well gone before Pearl Harbour. (bombs & bullets @ vastly inflated price)]
