But that is exactly what LG's dynamic tonemapping is doing for pretty much any scene that is below the TVs peak brightness. It heavily goes
above the PQ curve and that why I think it's crap. It's like what samsung is doing.
And it's not even good at revealing otherwise clipped highlights. MadVR does a much better job at this.
