My bad. For some reason, I thought it was installing both x86 and x64 versions with the one installer. I've completely uninstalled both with Revo, ran CCleaner, restarted, and ran CCleaner again to make sure no remnants remained.
I still have the same problem, though. After installing FFDshow and enabling MPEG-2, I get this error:

After going into FFDshow and setting VC-1 to wmv9, I get this error:
