Although I don't know the answer, you are trying to put almost
9 hours of video on one DVD. The vid quality will have to be pretty bad.

Try saving the project
before you go to menu generation, at least then you can reload it after a crash.

I though in the past when I chose muxed mpeg as output I used to get it saved under the original file name, not some generic 'DVD_2_Title_01.mpg' name.
