Deinterlaced Film or IVTC 29.97p to 23.976p?

I have a few video files that were clearly filmed at 23.976p but later telecined (apologies if I'm using the wrong term) to 29.97p using a 4th frame dupe, meaning the 5th frame is a repeat of the 4th. Not sure if it's technically a 1:1:1:2 or 2:2:2:4 cadence, technically speaking, but I think you folks understand the idea.

I'm using the file name appending feature to quickly display it at the right cadence. Currently, I'm using the "Filename deint=IVTC frameRate=23p.mp4" format (frameRate for those devices on my network that support refresh rate matching, ignored otherwise). However, I noticed that deint=Film also produces all the frames without any repeated frames which deint=Video, On, Off clearly do not.

To my eye, I can't tell the difference between deint=IVTC and deint=film in producing all the frames without any repeated frames and with no apparent interlacing. Which should it be?

Again:

-29.97p to 23.976p with 4th frame duped (not originally interlaced 29.97i)

-Format "Filename deint=IVTC frameRate=23p.mp4"

-Using DXVA2 Copy Back H/W decoding

-deint=IVTC or deint=Film?
