Doctor Strange 3D

Hello dear BD-Rebuilder Users!
Must admit I'm new to BD-Rebuilder. I have backed just 2 BD's with BD-R till yet and with my third attempt I ran into problems.
Have tried to backup the Doctor Strange 2D+3D BD's but with half success.
2D without any problems, BD-R has made great job but with the 3D version the software has some issues.
This is the error message that I'm get:
- Error in attempt to multiplex: MUX_00800.meta
- Can't open file: F:\DOCTOR_STRANGE_3D_IMI\WORKFILES\00801.track_4114.mvc
[07:41:52] - Failed to build structure, aborted
Has someone already tried to backup the 3D version and got the same error message?

I did Doctor Strange 3D and had no problems. I was wondering how you were processing the original disk. Did you try to process it from the blue ray disk itself in real time? I all ways create an image on the hardrive and then use Virtual Clone Drive to open it. Sometime the disk errors out because of all the seeking and decryption taking place. Or at least that's what I think happens, especially if you have an older machine doing the processing. Either that or a bad disk, rip or even a failing drive. Good luck sirig.

VC1 decoding strangely

Hi all,

I experienced an issue with one of my BDs. It's Tango & Cash encoded with VC-1. My MP4 encode suffered from audio out of sync. After some investigation I noticed a glitch at around 6:00 into the movie which makes the AVS file (and the result) playback at double speed for around 20 sec (with DirectShow). I decided to use another frameserver so I bought a license for DGDecNV (didn't think about FRIM) and the problems were gone. As I don't have a NVIDIA Card on my main machine I wondered if I can also use DGDecIM there. I searched the whole thread, did find something about some hidden options like

DGDECIM_SW_DECODE

[PATH]
DGIndexIM=...DGIndexIM.exe
DGDecIM=...DGDecodeIM.dll

but they do not seem to work. Is DecIM (still) supported or shall I use FRIM Decoding in SW mode?

Thanks

Anybody else experiencing issues with e-mail delivery of notifications related to new posts? Until today I don't think I've gotten any in over a week at least -- even though there have been plenty of posts.

It should still be supported -- but it's more-or-less undocumented. You'd need to add DGDECIM=1 to your INI as well.

Thank you. That line did it :-)
Maybe you could add this info to hiddenopts.

Do you and of course all others reading this have any experience if DecIM should be avoided in HW mode? I saw my framerates jumping from 80 to 120 fps, but I don't want to risk bad decoding...

It's started to work again for me too. Just a temporary glitch, I guess.

Here's a strange bug, which does not affect the result...

I just did a build which contained four 42 min episodes (H.264) and 16 ~5 min special features (MPEG-2). When it was done with the menu building, it only showed one stream (VID_00002), which is one of the four episodes. The total length was 42:48, which is way off the mark, but right for the only stream listed.

Did you choose "Movie & Menus" instead of "Full backup" perhaps? Log file could be helpful.

Nope, "Full Backup," even though I stop at the point right after the menus are created. I then burn the disc at that point. Nothing exciting in the log. The job runs as expected and produces the expected results.

I just started BDRB again and low and behold, all of the streams are now listed from the last run.

Like I said, something strange going on.

I look forward to your results, as I have a boatload more files that have DD+ audio.

When setting up your customized menus, have you ever run into the issue as to what values to use for the X/Y placement of the text? Needless to say, I have. So, I created some grids on 100 pixel spacing. One with white lines and one with black lines. Both include text to indicate the X/Y location and both are on transparent backgrounds. The ZIP file contains both AI (Adobe Illustrator) and PNG versions of both grids. The AI version can be loaded by Adobe Illustrator or PhotoShop. Or you can use your favorite image editor that supports layers. You can easily make your menu background image and overlay it with one of the grids. You can then save the necessary JPG file. You can then burn a test disc on BD-RE media. Once you have the layout you want, you can save a new JPG file without the grid.

Enjoy.

Default Menu background = VIDEO?

Is there a way to specify a menu background video? BD Rebuilder ini has the parameter: MENU_BACKGROUND=
I don't understand why this is limited to an image file, since BD Rebuilder can (and does, sometimes) find and use an original background video when creating the Quick Play menu.

I'm trying to use BDedit to "fix" the 00002.mpls and associated 99001.clpi BMDV folder support files... but not quite getting there. Could really use a bump in the right direction.

I plan to add video capability as well, but haven't gotten around to it.
