Hi, i don't have HDR sources nor the display needed for HDR and don't use Nvencc either but last test version of Staxrip added an option to keep HDR metaData :

Quote:
new: option added to the options dialog on the video tab to import VUI metadata like HDR from the source file to the video encoder, this is applied when the source loads like before and since this build additionally everytime a video encoder profile is loaded

This 1.7.0.4 test version of Staxrip can be found here : https://github.com/stax76/staxrip/bl...r/changelog.md

Can't help more than this sorry :/

Hi, Not sure if it's what you want but should be this, in Options :

(tied to each templates so you will need to save the template after setting this option to be set for the next times too I think)

You have to multiply with specific factors to get from one value to the other. You can find them in the x265 documentation along with an example:
http://x265.readthedocs.io/en/defaul...master-display

0.265 / 0.00002 = 13250
0.69 / 0.00002 = 34500

hi all, been offline for a while due to my chipset 1155 motherboard failing and couldn't afford a replacement for a while.. anyways - is there still the issue with the recent nvidia driver and nvencc encoding? If yes, which previous nvidia driver should I downgrade to please? thank you.

(Noob, please help) Compressibility check: how to?

I'm using StaxRip 1.7 and I'm investigating Intel H264 VBR encoding, with max size being assigned.
On the GUI appear Quality and Compressibility, both at 0, point is: how to run compressibility check?

TIA

Pascal = weighted-P is not working with driver 387.92 and current 388.13

Get drivers older than 387.92 if you want weighted-P for HEVC encoding.

thanks JohnLai! I'll try 385.69

from memory the weighted option resulted in a lot smaller file size but I've been without a PC for a month so I've forgotten what I was testing.

EDIT: yes 385.69 works fine. I'd need to do testing to see the file difference with the weighted-p option but from memory it was about 10%?
