Playing BD on PC

Im eager to make new threads, but Im out of ideas now.

Im trying to playback blurays discs in MPC-HC, as I saw many people is actually doing it. I read I would need a decrypter or something so I used DVDfab passkey trial, and my drive showed empty (same as not using DVDfab). I tried with a DVD, and everything was ok, I could even drag&drop a .vob.

The thing here is DVDfab detected my bluray disc and seemed to delete protection, its just that my drive folder was empty. So I searched a bit, and decided to update my System BIOS, and drive firmware, but still the same.

What am I lacking here? can someone recommend me another decrypter, freeware if possible?
My drive is an LG combo, "HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW CT10N, WA02".

I just bought the same drive; it shipped with fimware rev. 1.00 and so far (on the only Blu-ray disc I had on hand to test) it worked fine with a recent revision of AnyDVD HD (which has a free trial available). If you had a blue laser failure or similar you might not even get an acknowledgment in software that a disc was in the drive, or you might get a lot of spin-up and fail retries. Try out AnyDVD and see what happens.

@Dogway

Hi!

If your OS is WinXP, you'll likely have to install a UDF 2.50 driver...

This is what AnyDVD HD says:

Code:
Summary for drive E: (AnyDVD 6.7.9.0)
HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW CT10N WA02 030811080088Q71207
Drive (Hardware) Region: 2

Current profile: BD-ROM
Media is a Blu-Ray disc.

Total size: 18244704 sectors (35634 MBytes)
Video Blu-ray label: LABYRINTH
Media is AACS protected!
AACS MKB version 12
Removed AACS copy protection!
Note: automatic detection of region code not possible with this disc.
Blu-ray disc Region set to B!
Possible Blu-ray Java region lock removed!
Blu-ray Java signatures fixed!
BD-Live deactivated!
Removed UOPs!
But still the drive is empty. How do you know the revision firmware?
Before I was playing them with powerDVD so the driver works. And I just tried another BD and behaviour is the same. The drive shows as a CD-drive.
The tray icon says activate:1, others are 0

Yours is WA02. The date field is missing for some reason (OEM custom firmware, no doubt) but you have the full serial number visible; my firmware version and date on the factory drive look like:

Code:
HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW CT21N 1.00 09/12/10

I was going to ask you for a firmware dump, but yours is CT21N so I think it wouldnt work. I use a small cmd tool to flash the firmware with one I downloaded around for version A104. But it looks it didnt do anything, so I guess something wasnt compatible.

Oops. I misread at first and thought you had a CT21N. I guess yours is ACER OEM? Apparently there's been no new firmware issued for this drive (per a google search for wa02 firmware) but I'm not sure whether your drive is riplocked to 2x for BD or not.

I just followed this post which seemed useful. Although flashing was successful, I still see WA02. yep, its acer.
