Can't Record Blu-ray in VLC & PowerDVD

I am facing a weird issue. If i try to record a Blu-ray disc playback in PowerDVD it tells me it isn't possible. In VLC I could only capture a black screen and the audio and nothing else. This is a Blu-ray game I am creating and therefore there are no issues as far as copyrights go.

It's a custom homebrew Blu-ray disc so it's not going to be in any databases. It's called Blubird and you can download isos from the site.

Why not back-up the 'custom' Blu-ray disc using MakeMKV...

A non-protected BD (home brewed) needs no particular software to be copied.

Why would one using a screen recorder instead of the good 30-year-old COPY /B ???
