Hi got movie in mkv plus separate subs in two files idx and sup (if not mistaken) I can add them in program but end result on dvd is horrible, subs wont fit on screen they appear in bottom right corner (cut off) and have blue color with white outline. Same thing happened with totally other movie that had subs in same external format, no clue what to do :S

@Shablagoo and whiskey

before going forward with troubleshooting, where did you get the mkv you are trying to convert?

hmm I've been having countless audio failed errors since installing and no matter how many different setting setups I try I couldn't figure it out! I use the pal speed up function and use mkvs usually with dts audio. I wonder if this has been my issue

MrC,
Regarding the feature request for CC, I found two tools which do this and at least one has source. It seems compatible with muxman as well. I haven't tried the methods yet but I can tell you if they work; in that case you have some simple binaries you can just call from your GUI and it's done. Should be simple.

Hi Mrc,

Can you plan in to do list to save batch process when you save the current project? I had sometimes for some reasons to reboot computer in remote and i want to save batch but doesnt supported yet.

Also, the magnetic suggestion for the batch windows ;-) *Already replied that you put in to do list*

Thanks :-)

Hi rippn,

there's something wrong with the DVD Menu creation:

Quote:
<11/12/2011 3:01:10 AM>
END DVD MENU BUILDING OPERATIONS
Created File (Menu Page 1): D:\Temp\SOA_S4_D1_0_MenuPage1.m2v (0 MB)
<>
Do you get any errors during Menu creation routine?

Bye

Do you mean when running through the wizard? Not that I'm aware of. I run the wizard, then go to the editor, change the titles and disc menu text, then exit the editor, is there a step I'm missing?

So I attempted several changes to the menu options and still getting the error. So I went and downloaded the Beta release (2.4.0 build 110422) and over wrote my AVStoDVD directory which kept all my settings. Again attempted the same DVD and this time it worked with no problem. It appears the new version is failing when "generating dvd background" then it is supposed to launch quenc, which is working properly in the beta release. Any ideas? Was a fresh install required for 2.4.1?

See Help/FAQ/General/Q1.7:

Q1.7 When I download a new release, should I uninstall a previous installed one?
A: Yes, that's a better choice.

Thanks MrC your works appreciated here .

I was just wondering whats the best media player to have installed? I don't have windows media player 12 installed cos it messes with my music folder which I don't like!! So for music I use MusicBee and normally have vlc for my video playback but with this combo I'm having problems converting mkv to dvd (no audio or audio errors) So after reading the FAQ I installed FFDshow and this fixed the probs I was having. So I guess my question is whats the best setup Ie media players and filters? should I stick with vlc + FFDshow or go for a mediaplayer that has filters avstodvd can use? I like the cleanest sytem possible (think I have OCD).

Whats everyone else doing???

Hope its ok posting this here

Cheers M.

I personnally use:

- PowerDVD 11
and also

- Media Player Classic (first version of media plassic classic home cinema).

I like powerdvd11 because we can listen everything. Also VIDEO_TS folder (drag'n'drop); m2ts HD, divx, xvid, everhing excel FLV.
