Also I have switched to the plain x264 builds as the komisar builds are outdated. Code:
2824 [OneClick] added a profile option to set an output file suffix 2823 [x264] added support for unified 8/10 bit binaries (requires x264 2901+) 2822 [AVC Levels Tool] removed the AVC Levels Tool 2821 [x264] added support for AVC level 6, 6.1 and 6.2 (requires x264 2851+) 2820 [Worker] removed the individual worker queue view. part II 2819 [Worker] removed the individual worker queue view |

Did komisar builds contain anything beyond libav input modules? ... If not, MABS can produce a similar build, I believe (also limiting ffmpeg to video decoders only, audio codecs would be superfluous anyway).

Then I will upload MABS builds right soon. They include both as well.

Saving as MP4 or MKV, possibly, marginally. Multiplexing raw AVC is supported quite well, too, even by providing attributes possibly missing in raw streams.
So, the best reason may be: MeGUI as a quite reliable source for an allround-useful x264 binary. |

There was a request that if "AutoUpdate" is disabled for each communication user confirmation should be raised. However I will check if this cannot be reduced (e.g. a never ask again checkbox for the second one)

I prefer the old way. I don't like automatic checks. I do myself.
And when I do, I don't need to get asked a second time. Why? When updates are found, I have to click update again anyway, which is fine, because there might be a package I don't want update yet and can be unchecked. The old way was perfect. I can't figure out, whats the benefit of this extra box. My opinion. EDIT: qpmax defaults was changed from 69 to 81. Whats the cause of it? How it does impact the encoding result? Seems like MeGUI have issues with indexing MKV file. It's a AVC stream extracted from a BluRay structure through the HD Streams Extractor.
I try and load the MKV file but then the indexer ask to select a playlist. Don't know what's going on....... it have never been like this earlier to my knowledge. File Index Issues Log : https://pastebin.com/VFe4t6aX Screenshot : https://imgur.com/a1RvWR4 Last time i used MeGUI was with rev2808 or 2810 (or something like that). Worked just fine then. [EDIT] Could have been earlier then rev2808. The last encode i made through MeGUI was bk in the middle of December last year Last edited by Barough; 19th February 2018 at 18:57. |
