Also Total Recall 2012 movie only, there are 2 versions of the movie, theatrical & extended. But when I look at the movie-only playlists i see a 20 minute & a 25 minute version, 8 & 6 chapters. These should be 118 minutes & 130 minutes.
In regards to Total Recall (2012), I decided to see if I could assist here. If I run my US version thru v0.42.07 I see 2 playlists 118 and 130 minutes. So maybe try the prior version v0.42.07 on your disc. I have a feeling though that the used copy I purchased is a rental since the BD menu won't allow me to view the extended version, yet both BD Rebuilder and BDinfo show a playlist for the extended version (130 is playlist 00450, 118 is playlist 00800). I can choose insight mode of special features and then it does show the 130 runtime version but with the PIP video commentary. I assume retail versions allow one to view the extended 130 runtime version without this PIP commentary [perhaps someone owning retail can comment here on that].

I think with these rental version they sometimes cripple the content via the menu or sometimes even remove the content streams even off the rental disc. Makes buying used Blurays a landmine now. At least the retail shop gohastings does separate their used sales so you know if there is a chance its a rental.

So then I thought maybe I can get the extended version via BD Rebuilder and I did a movie only and selected playlist for the 130 minute. But the output was a stream that had the PIP video commentary but it was the 130 minute stream and their was no audio. I wonder if playlists on retail version are same cause I see some commenting on this title as it having the extended cut as playlist 801 where my used version only has a 450 playlist for extended and I think this 450 playlist is for the insight mode PIP commentary version of 130 minute runtime.

What exactly is on the extended cut - is it only a tagged on alternate ending? Or is more added thoroughout the movie? No spoilers please

Now, I know the latest version is 0.42.08 and I'm still on 0.42.07, but since this issue has plagued BD-RB for ages I'm fairly certain it hasn't been fixed in 0.42.08. Could almost make a wager on it. Anyhoo...

It's "the PCM audio of a very small source file cannot be reencoded into AC3" issue again. And it's always the same: a very small .M2TS file, containing two identical PCM tracks, with stream ids 4352 and 4353.

BD-RB quits with "ERROR in attempt to reencode audio (AFTEN) [AUD_00000_4352.AVS]" in the log. Usually it manages to encode the first .WAV file, stream id 4352, and conks out when trying to encode 4353. I usually solve the problem by making a copy of the AUD_00000_4352.AC3 and renaming it AUD_00000_4353.AC3, then Restart Backup and Resume. This happened yesterday on "Die Screaming, Marianne". Today, trying to make a Full Backup of "Baron Blood", BD-RB stopped at the first of two audio .wav files. No AC3 files were created, in other words, so nothing to copy and rename.

Want to hear something odd? When I run audio.bat which resides in WORKFILES directory, the result is a perfect AC3 file. I edited the .bat file and replaced instances of 4352 with 4353, ran the .bat and got another perfect AC3 file.

OK, I thought, problem solved: just Restart and Resume. But BD-RB refuses to Resume, even though the two AC3 files are already in the WORKFILES directory. It still attemps to reencode the audio, not realizing it no longer needs to.

Ideas, suggestions? Thanks.

This is the US Retail version, not a Netflix rental. I believe I tried it w/ the previous version with the same results.

Anybody else get this problem with Ted Unrated? Original disc and rip play back perfectly fine, BDRB encode does not. Some of the film is normal, other parts like the end credits not so much...

Hatchet, what does "not so much" mean? Maybe your attached jpg explains it, but we can't see that yet.

It says the source size is 25Gb. Therefore it looks like the disc has already been processed.

That green image is what I get. (I guess folks aren't able to view attachments until approved, but seems to be approved now) Perfect video for the most part and then that.

Yes, attachments don't show until approved. I can see it now, and I have to agree that it doesn't look right

If this happened to me I would first suspect some corruption of the original rip. I'd try cleaning the disc and ripping again. Even though the rip might play OK, there might be a slight glitch that gets through without posting an error amd is hard to see but causes trouble with the rebuild. It's happened to me -- not a green screen but a frozen image.

No, that is about the right size for a movie-only rebuild of this film. When you select movie-only, it shows the original size of the selected stream, not the entire disc.

I had zero issues with a Full disc backup of Ted. Played perfectly on a Vizio BD Player, projected at 90" @ 720P

It was the autocrop filter once again that was at fault. I redid it all forgetting to set that because it had very small black bars top & bottom I wanted removed. The result was perfect, except for the black bars that didn't get removed. Such a great feature when it works...

Save Existing Project Bug

When I try to save to an existing project (overwrite) I get this error:

Run-time error '9': Subscript out of range

with version 0.42.08 on windows 8 Pro.

Edit: This only happens when source path is empty.

BTW, the runtime MPC shows is for the theatrical release (106min), even though I encoded the unrated version, which extended to 112min (still continues to play for 6 mins beyond the 106 mark). So I am thinking the error is caused either by the way BDRB handles the branched streams (which contain 2 versions of the film) or the way AnyDVD decrypted/ripped it?

There's a new version of x264 in x264.nl (2245) and it works again. I've been testing the 2245 with BDrebuilder 42.08 in several discs and everything is ok, like before the 2230.

The source material looks like something other than a full, commercial blu-ray disc...

I haven't seen "HD" in any blu-ray disc title. OBVIOUSLY it would be HD. I doubt very seriously that they'd use that scheme Must be an import, eh?

More evidence it's not original.

The input size would be highly irregular, but I'd hardly call that conclusive I've seen BD discs that were no larger than 11Gb. Which would make the input Video stream smaller.

Since it has a substantial run time though (2.5+hrs), I would highly doubt it's original.
