Not a bug report but a question about replacing a Sharp Aquos Bluray player that no longer reads any bluray whether original or backup. Since I play mostly copies which have been edited and backed up with BD rebuilder, are there any recommendations from member here for one which has no problem reading BDR's in single layer or dual layer format? TY

Your needs? (Wifi? UHD? HDR10+? Dolby Vision?) What are you willing to invest? 100? 1000? I went with a Panasonic DP-UB424 since my TV can display HDR10+ but no Dolby Vision. I must admit, I do not play many disks, but the ones I did, played without issues. |

Another miss... 88GB to 26GB.
I had to set it to 20000 to get it to fit, with 600MB to spare.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned upthread but a search didn't reveal and I'm not reading 1561 pages manually.
BDRB appears to be (over?) sensitive to filenames. I imported 8 episodes of a series as individual files for backup. One of the episodes had a filename like lorem-Ips Umdolorsi Tam Etcons_S99E9_Secte...Turadi...Pisci.mp4 (changed to protect the guilty!) and BDRB aborted when it reached this episode with - [timestamp] Importing video file: (n of m) - Preparing mp4 for processing... [timestamp]ERROR: Gathering source file information. Aborted. [timestamp]ERROR: Gathering source file information. Aborted. [timestamp]ERROR: Gathering source file information. Aborted. [timestamp]ERROR: Gathering source file information. Aborted. Manually resolved by replacing the ... with underscores. |

"This Item Has Been Removed"
When BD-RB blanks an item the bluray shows a black screen for half a second. Is there an easy way to replace this black screen with a screen with the message "This Item Has Been Removed" ? How do I go about it? Last edited by musiclover; 19th March 2022 at 17:29. |

Answering my own question. I have figured it out. You have to manipulate the files in BD_Rebuilder\Tools\blankclip. Here are the files that you need. Remember to backup the originals and restore them after you're done !!!

I approved the attachments -- but I'm away from my office, so I haven't had a chance to look at them. I just assume they're right. As long as you replace blankclip with a video file that matches its resolution, length, etc you should be fine.

I did not see this same error in a search I did. If this has been answered before, please link to it. thx
I am trying to make my first UHD copy. I just updated to the new open source TSMuxer which helped with my first issue of BD Rebuilder not recognizing the file output as a UHD file. Now BD Rebuilder recognizes the file as UHD but I am receiving the below error. Crap!!!!! I've run into the dreaded CreateQuickMenu() 00076 4000 error, three times in a row. I have no clue why BDRB refuses to create the 2nd page of the menu.
Well, it is now 5 for 5. I can't fix what I am doing wrong (I don't believe I'm doing anything wrong), when I have no clue as to what the error means. Update: It did work, at least once. I did some other jobs and remembered that I forgot to do something with the particular disc. The disc contains episodes 8, 9 and 10, plus 11 special features. What I forgot to do was place two spaces at the start of episodes 8 and 9 so that the text lines up on the menu. That is when the problem started. A light bulb went on because the two page menu that was built didn't have the spaces. So, I tried again without the spaces and sure enough it worked. Therefore, not my fault. BDRB appears to have an issue when the first page of a menu has leading spaces in the menu text and there is at least two pages in the menu. I've created lots of menus with leading spaces that have worked. But, they were only single page menus. BTW, even when it errors attempting to create page two of the menu, BDRB thinks that it finished the job successfully.

@jdobbs BD-Rebuilder 0.61.25 when re-encoding to BD25 places subtitles for Blu-ray 4K SDR content as "12A0", "12A1", "12A2"..., it should be "1200", "1201", "1202" (like a normal Blu-ray disc), resulting in non visible subtitles when playing on standalone players.

Another UHD -> BD25 missed. 5GB too large.
Had to set it for 18000 custom size, which resulted in 431MB of spare space.

Not technically a bug report, but a question about a change in the version history not being fully utilitzed.
I was rebuilding Tarzan 1999 this week and the movie is linked by a playlist (vids marked with a *) to lots of other stuff including ad trailers, preventing blanking of the ads without the movie blanking as well. It struck me that BD RB probably doesn't still need that restriction. v61.22 updated with "Added code to adjust for leading clips in a multipart source that do not contain audio." Depending on how it was accounted for, shouldn't the code now allow linked items be able to be blanked independent of the playlist they are linked in? ..or is this me just being crazy again? |

Thanks immensely for the suggestion. And I assume you had no problems with a BD rebuilder remake with either the single or dual layer BDR? |

I'm currently burning a 1:1 copy of a UHD to a triple layer BD RE XL I bought for testing ... will come back with the results ... writing takes about 6hrs Edit: Ok, the player did not manage to play the disk, but IMO that was not unexpected. I've had trouble with various players and rewritable disks. I'd guess a one-time-write BD XL would work, but I don't have one for testing right now. Hi all,
I'm trying to shrink a BD-50 to a BD-25 using full backup an retaining audio as-it-is. Any time, the result is an error regarding audio and/or PGS too large (probable oversize). I've tried changing encoder from NVEnc to x264 an I've also tried switching the decoding/frameserving options from dgdecnv to x264 and also to Directshow, having no luck (always the same error) To be clear, no BD Rebuilder components have been altered, including AVISYNTH and all the rest. It's the first time I'm facing such an error in years, using BD-RB. I'm gonna attach the BD-REBUILDER.LOG file. Any help would be very appreciated.
