urgent request for help.

hello everyone

I have a file, which is quite important to me

it 'should' be an avi file, i'm not sure.

However, it can't be played at all by any common program

like window media player, real player, not even VLC player

they all returns with error message saying something like

this is not a valid avi file. etc

Is there any possibility to repair this file??

thanks you

It is difficult to recover a file even if one knows what's its characteristics... not to say about something you/we don't know anything.

Use your original to recreate it.

Try MediaInfo to see what it says. Maybe post the details here if need be.

Also you can try opening it with a program such as VirtualDub, which will try to repair damaged AVI files, but maybe try MediaInfo first.

Thank you all for the help

The file was downloaded from web and I finally realize that it is a scam. That means it could never be repaired.

Thank you all for the kind attention
