jdobbs, you can tell which is the antivirus you use? For years I did not have this problem of slowness using Nod32. From time to time do testing with leading antivirus market and none has the lightness(less impact on the system)of Eset, which even protects very well. |

Eset Endpoint Antivirus. I disabled it, but the situation is exact the same as I wrote in my last letter. I tried to run it without AV enabled both from my own and from my admin profile with the same results......I think I have to turn to some win7 expert or search in google for a solution. Anyway, thank all of you for the help.

Based on my experience ALL antivirus packages slow your system down without exception. Some may be better than others, but they all have a significant impact when enabled. Last edited by jdobbs; 17th November 2013 at 14:55. |

Well, the issue is that I removed Windows 8 after the encode yesterday. Due to too many issues and put Win 7 back-on. I'll be re-running the test after the disc I'm currently doing. But, Rim has failed twice under Windows 8.

This is my second attempt with latest beta, first one on another BD movie was fine. Second attempt on another movie aborted. AnyDVD HD did it's thing without problems. Is this a bug or a problem with the original disc? Tried a second disc, burnt to BD-RE again. Works fine on PDVD13 but all I get on the Sony is the background image and music. No buttons!
Edit: reburnt to standard BD-R still won't work. Happy to test anything further. Assume my Sony standalone isn't conforming to a certain spec? Last edited by rendez2k; 17th November 2013 at 20:33. |
