Weightp=1
@jdobbs
When setting WEIGHTP=1 in .ini file the output always have wpredp set at zero instead of 2. Using latest mediainfo to confirm this. Went back up to version 33.05 with the same results. Am I missing something? Did some tests on x.264 version 1602 and noticed this. Also went back up to version 1542 of x.264 with the same results. Thanks |

The only quality setting on the menu that would set it to "2" would be "High Quality (Default)" (with WEIGHTP=1 in the INI file). What quality setting are you using? Last edited by jdobbs; 22nd May 2010 at 15:07. |

@jdobbs
Thanks for the reply. I know this is not a good setting for all blu-ray players. Since the new OPPO-BDP83 software this was fixed as the problem was noticed many threats ago. I always use "Movie Only" with High Quality (Default) output to a DVD-9. This always produces a 2 pass encode for me which I prefer. In this case, with the flag set, should weightp not be equal to 2, as was previous the case? If not, how would I manage to achieve this? I see you have edited your post since I last read it. Yes, in the above mentioned scenario with the flag set, weightp=0, which was not the case in previous builds before 33.05. Did not check until when, but I presume since the "automatic" selection was introduced. Thanks Last edited by Duppie; 22nd May 2010 at 15:34. |

Hiho, i have a little question (sorry for my bad englisch but im from germany)
At First, Great work "jdobbs" i love BD Rebuilder, its a really great tool !!! Best tool for me in 2009/2010 !! and i backup-ed many Bds with it, without problems ( I always burn on BD-25 )... but... lately i tried Sherlock Holmes... i used anydvd like ever.. then start BD RB and load the directory (on HDD) in... normally its one Big Vid stream like 16GB up to 45GB or so like transformers.. but now with sherlock holmes i see very much little parts of the vid.. what can i do? i see this structure too in Blueray´s like "BRÜNO" or "Wall-E"..... they are many single parts and in only one of the parts i can choose the audio...but if i let BD-RB work with a blueray that has this structure.. and then burn it on BD25.. i get a Backup without Sound... and so.. Can i really backup a blueray with this structure? (hopefully with BD-RB) Whats so special with this structure? how can i backup my Sherlock Holmes with BD-RB? can someone please help me? mfg Filly Last edited by Filly; 22nd May 2010 at 18:22. |

you should NOT face any problem with a structure like this, which, as you have already mentioned, is not that unusual
since you ask for HOW to backup SH with BD RB may i ask: - you did a try with BD RB (version?) and you did not have sound? - if so: can you post a log? - did you go for full movie or movie only? Last edited by DK; 22nd May 2010 at 18:46. |

@DK
the only changes i made in the settings is this: - Movie-Only - Target Size BD-25 --- In Setup--- i marked -> Do not convert DTS to AC3, do not reencode AC3, Keep HD-Audio for BD25 encoding ..the rest is at standard settings... ... i tried "Brüno", "Wall-e" with BD-RB v0.33.06...and now SH with BD-RB v0.33.07...i post the log from SH in the following days, because im not at home till Tuesday... but if you say BD-RB dont have any problems with this BD structure than im testing on why i have no sound after backup.. thanks for help mfg Filly |

The Princess and the Frog Blu-ray (Multi-angle) is successfully completed with 0.33.7, plays fine on PS3/TMT/PowerDVD, except for blocking at the start of some scenes/m2ts, input file is not corrupted, and i remember a error code from the x264 window: "non-strictly-monotonic pts at frame" from time to time:
I think this is a bug caused by using FFMPEG, because output file is not corrupted, and the image is blocky because was seeded to the encoder that way. Code:

well, it's been more than a year now since i have done Wall-E and at that time i actually had to go a different road as the BD RB version that was up2date at that time did not handle the content properly. furthermore i have not dealt with Brüno or SH but i have definitely had quite a few other titles which had their main movie spread over a couple of m2ts files similar to Wall-E and they all worked fine - never had a severe problem for quite some time maybe you might want to take a look at this thread and try makemkv if all else fails but you should provide a complete log file here in any case |

@SquallMX
You're right it seems to be caused by the X264 internal FFMS frame server. I think I have that fixed by doing a demux first as is seems to be related to FFMS's way of demuxing from M2TS. I'll have a new version posted tomorrow that (I believe) should fix that. |
