Anamorphic resize : subtitle problems...

Hello;

I created this thread because I have a problem that I can’t sort out properly :

I’d like to display correctly subtitles on an anamorphic video (made with Mkvmerge GUI 2.2.0) but...

(desciption of the problem with screens)

Here, the master scene, DVD resolution (720*480) without resize

The same, with the right display size and subtitles included during the mux in Mkvmerge.

So...here’s the problem : subtitles are elongated too in order to match with the video but It’s not what I seek.

The video, with subtitles like they should be (only the video is resized)

From now, I found a solution including a \fscx84.4 in the ass but It’s not very practical, especially when I must use this effect again in the script...

Do you know an other way to come to the solution with a method more...logical, standard ?
(like a special option with mkvmerge, the video player, Haali or Aegisub to avoid shape’s modification of the subs)

Thanks.

In Aegisub, go to the Style Editor, open your style, and under Miscellaneous, set Scale X% to 84.
