text buttons in gui dvd author are jagged/pixellated when highlighted?

theres probably a simple solution, but the text i use in DVD
Author GUI as buttons to change between different menus
look fine, until I highlight them! the text buttons are white,
on a plain black background, and there are no other buttons
closeby. the buttons are simple text,with no frame. strangely,
my 'jagged-when-highlighted' text buttons on my finished
dvd view ok on a ps2, but on any regular player are jagged.
I have tried the 'blur' option in dvd authors menu, but this
does not help-this tends to create 'shiny' looking buttons on a
regular player- eg if my text is red, there will be a slight
white on one side of all the buttons. at first i thought the
jagged problem was in having the wrong setup.

how can I stop my text only buttons in dvd author GUI from
becoming slightly pixelated when highlighted on a finished
dvd? any settings i should recheck? thanks for any help if
possible!
