I use NVENC H265. as encode quite a lot , so quicker, use a good amount of bit rate , for older movies use KNLmeansCL Light, as I feel tradeoff to picture so slight for gains. I get pretty good SSim PSNR scores , except for 1 in 20 old movies where must add something to throw those checks . But when I check, it looks fine enough for me. Have heard some movies throw in hard to encode random noise, not sure it true |
