Changing the meaning of Ctrl+C by default would confuse the users who actually use it to close the file.
Since it's a variation of Alt+I, how about Ctrl+Alt+I? If a user wants to use Ctrl+C for it, they can easily change the shortcut key(s) via Options|Keys.
I'd be happy if there is just a menu item "File|Copy image" near "File|Save image..." even without a shortcut key, since shortcut keys are customizable. Thanks!

Hi Aleksoid1978,

Thanks for your commit (r4953). It works !
Maybe some users will complain if they can't find some hidden tracks. Maybe you should display all tracks but only take in account the 'hidden info' for selecting initial track.

It's ok for me but in case some MPC-BE users will complain ...

Need help with 8K playback setting

Greetings.
Attached is playback screen cap of 8K HEVC nasa samples using the Kablake HD620 chip. While the player can handle the original 709 version, it struggles with the 2020 version.
Appreciate kind assistance with player/decoder/renderer settings.
Many thanks and best regards,

When playback HDR - EVR-CP convert HDR -> SDR using pixel shader. I think HD620 is not enough for it. Check GPU % in statistics(Ctrl+J) or in Windows taskmanager(3D).

I don’t understand why you need 8k on Intel HD620. It is pointless.
1. On-board video cards have low memory bandwidth. For 10-bit sources, the P010 format is used, which requires 2 times more bandwidth than NV12.
2. Now your player uses 4045 MB. I think this is a lot for the integrated video card. How much RAM do you have?

Also, arent you out of 4GB ram? If you have more then its not relevant.

Make sure you are using a 64 bit player.

I've got an odd problem I'm hoping someone can help me with.

I use MPC-BE with madVR on my HTPC to play both SDR and HDR files. However, my TV's image processing time for SDR and HDR is different, so I need a separate audio delay offset depending on whether I'm playing SDR or HDR. I'd rather not have to go into options and change the offset every time I switch between SDR/HDR files. Is there a way for me to implement an audio delay depending on if SDR or HDR is being played?

Not planned, especially since you use madVR.

Thanks for the kind reply, Alek.

1. The GPU usage reported on the screen caps look similar for both clips. Where do you think the bottleneck is?

2. The built-in OS MF decode can handle this undemanding 66mbps 8K PQ clip with ease. Do you think the problem lies with the DS decoder? FYI, the test system is i7 7500u with 16GB ram.

Many thanks and best regards,

@mariner: Did you read my post?

Again: We can NOT view the files until the files are approved, which can take up very long.

More screen shots for your weekend enjoyment

1. It appears playback of 8K PQ clip was not as smooth compared the 709 version upon further testing, sort of like displaying only half the number of frames. The frame rate reported by DXVAChecker may have been misleading. This seems to be corroborated by the fact that GPU memory used by MF decoder is only half of those used by the DS counterpart. There's been comments of cheating by MF decoder, is this true?

2. On the other hand, playback of the 8K 709 version using MF decoder is just as smooth as the DS decoder, despite using only half the GPU memory. Perhaps the jerkiness observed in the PQ version is inherent in the clip after all.

Intel HD 620 is definitely capable of decoding 8k HDR. Until you run some special 60 fps videos that could tax decoder. I might try sample if you send a link, i have 620 too.
