1080i MeGUI to 720p/1080p/anything that isnt 50gb and interlaced =D!

alright, i've been meaning to post this here for awhile and i have no idea if this is the right section but we'll go with it since megui is what im using.

about 6months ago i bought the tom petty live at soundstage bluray, i used the ps3 to copy the bluray files to my pc, i stripped the AACS or whatever-drm-bluray-uses-nowdays off it, and have 3 m2ts files. 15gb,15gb and 8gb.

well, ive been wanting to convert them down to 720p since a) i dislike interlacing, b) i'd like to have a smaller copy to archive.

ive read megui can supposidly do this, so i read some tutorials and whatnot.

no matter what settings i put in the avs script, the output video is TRASH. and i cant figure out why. it's screaming..

"Your AviSynth clip is is the wrong colorspace, 1610612740.
The colorspace should by YV12. Do you want me to add ConvertToYV12() to the end of your script?"

i thought that might be the problem. but i really am clueless here, heres the mediainfo text of the bluray file im trying to convert from. perhaps theres an answer in it.

ALRIGHT. SORRY GUYS. i shouldve read the entire tutorial rather than skimming, i had to set the bitrate. my 8gb file was being compressed to 200mb. perhaps that could explain said bad quality? lolwhoops! =D!

i converted it with full bitrate and ohgawd, its hawt. i suppose ill change hte subject here, does anyone have an idea why these bluray interlaced videos show very few signs of interlacing like you see on dvds? i figure it has something to do with framerate, but id like to know the details.

thanksbois!
