I don't see any reason mouse horizontal scrolling should be any harder to support than vertical scrolling. I have enabled it, but since my mouse wheel doesn't go left and right, I tested it with X-Mouse. Seems to work fine.

Is there an option to anchor the player to stop it being draggable and moving? occasionally when when seeking/clicking to a diff time point of the video I end up dragging the player instead?

this build works with the mouse wheel left and right keys options. hopefully there will have this options available in the next build update.

Remember File position works fine when there are only a few files on the playlist. But when there are multiple ones it does not work at all. When there are few files in the playlist and I close the player lets say halfway through the file, I can reopen the player and play the file, and it will continue playing from the halfway point. That works correctly. But when there are more and more files in the playlist, this does not work. When I try to replay any file it will always start from the beginning.

Most get mpc-hc by downloading k-lite, in my experience. Everyone else will have to do some research, I guess.

I get the impression the .org site is stuck in time and the owner is not interested in updating it or giving it up. clsid may know more.

We could create a competing site, but perhaps a rebrand would make more sense.

It only remembers for last 20 files. You can increase that number here:
options > advanced > RecentFilesNumber

Concerning 1.9.2.6, am I imagining it or has there been a change to the progress % down in the status area? I don't recall it rapidly counting up like that, or maybe the % being there at all. I guess I'd rather have the % not displayed at all, since it's distracting to see when in windowed mode and not really critical info like the information to its left (time thru, total time). Thanks.

hi sorry, my English is not good I have a question about subtitles in Mpc-HC. when I play movie with other players like pot or km and I adjust subtitle in the bottom screen when I move the mouse to the down screen automatic subtitle come up bar but in MPC-HC stick down and never come up

And in the options menu > internal filters we have source filters and transform filters, should I leave them all checked or unchecked? thanks in advance.

First i would like to say thanks for an excellent player.

Starting with 1.9.2 i get a dialogue asking which file to play when trying to open a rar archive with multiple files, even if the rar archive only contains one video/media file and text files.
Previous versions auto selected the only video file in the archive, is there any way to disable this and making it behave as previous versions ?

Apparently this is a random bug that no one can fix. Because I changed that number to 999 and am still seeing files that I am sure I stopped at 50% for example being restarted to the beginning.

Granted, I open new files perhaps 100, 200 times a day, still there's no way I reached 999 to force this or that file to reset the last position.
