@Atak_Snajpera:

Just checking in to see if you've noted the ResampleAudio() bug. It should have two inputs (audio,bitrate). However, in the current version, only the bitrate is specified.

Now I use this (24->25)
audio=TimeStretch(audio,tempo=104.166687470095)

Old method wasn't bad but current is more precise.

It is a bad practice to use fixed paths such as C:\...
on some computers a non-administrator will not be able to create and access folders such as c:\temp.
Further more C: does not exist on some computers.

Create RipBot264.ini in notepad with these lines

[settings]
StoreTempFilesin=AUTO

Change auto to D , E ...

AUTO means partition with the highest amount of free space.

If C: does not exist it won't be used. See above.

Next time don't use red color. I'm not blind...

I still believe that You have to optimise this. Add a settings button on the main dialogue. That path should point to %temp% or some folder that can by accessed by limited users. And it should be a folder, not a drive letter. Do I need to call the administrator, for every program that wants to use the root of a hard-disk?

Also use larger fonts, I really cannot read anything without zooming the screen!

Good luck! You can do better that this.

Hey the next installer will take care of *.ini paths so upon install you can select where the temp folder will be... (Once set you can edit the ini from a shortcut in the (start menu => Programs => RB264=> Advanced Settings) I will be releasing it in about a day...

*Edit
LOL the InI is dependent on the internal settings in ripbot so any extra info in the INI is not even counted... My bad! So how hard would it be to add Option to alow the user the ability to select where the temp path will be stored using the INI config that you already have setup...

BTW, when I reduce frame rate from 29.970 to 23.976, it's out of sync a little bit.

You reduce speed therefore audio is out of sync

I have no idea what you mean????????

I mean I decimate it to 23.976 pts. I didn't change the output speed.
I asked if I can use DGindex (DGMPGDec) instead of Haali to separate the video and audio.
In the guide that you showed me, they said: "A default value for B-frame Pyramid option of On (when available) works well." So why don't you use this option?
BTW, should I use "do not crop" or "Automatically"?
Thank you for your patient and knowledge.

Experiment with audio delay a little bit

Use DGIndex.

Bitrate calc for bluray is inconsistent, if I select "lock file size" to 4480 it will pick bitrate of 4355. If I deselect the "lock file size" (still bluray structure), the bitrate of 4355 yields estimated filesize of 4551 (MP4 and MKV bitrate/filesize are consistent both ways). Basically ticking "lock file size" on-and-off on-and-off, will cause values in "kbps" and "file size[mb]" text boxes to alternate growth... and selecting 700mb target will cause negative bitrate value (on blue ray and mkv, but not mp4)

v1.9.0

I still don't how to reverse bluray formula therefore size is not calculated correctly. MP4 and MKV are very easy to calculate but BluRay ...

It's not a bug. If you select to small size and your audio is to big then you get negative values.

Hello Atak_Snajpera, thank you very much for this awesome application.

Just wanted to mention...

I loaded up an AVIsynth script and DTS audio seperately. When RipBot attempted to encode the audio, I received the notorious Windows warning "aften.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."... but RipBot continues to encode the audio regardless of this warning.

I swapped the aften.exe with the x86 (non SSE) version that I downloaded previously and it's working fine now (without the Windows warning).

Any idea what caused this?

EDIT: Also, after RipBot has finished encoding the audio where does it go? Does it get stored in a temp folder? It didn't appear in the output folder I allocated.
