The builds from www.x264.nl don't work for me, I downloaded both 32 & 64 bit and replaced the ones you included in bd rebuilder and still the same problem.

[Added] It's a little scary that these are about 2MB smaller than the X264.NL version. That makes me wonder what wasn't included in the build?

I would appreciate it if all of you beta testers would download from these sources, rename and replace the included X264 and X264-64, and let me know if you have any issues. I'd like to test them, and if they're clean create a new release and post it as soon as possible before I'm inundated with LAVF bug reports.

I commented jdobbs morning, convert a blu-ray and I tell you, if it exists, a problem.
Thanks

lauguru I'm the one who told you to use the komirsar builds of x264

jdobbs I've asked komisar if his builds are different than the "official" of x264.nl so let's wait for his answer.

Sweet Update..I dig that it sees .SRT files now in MKV (Thank You...I don't Celebrate Christmas because of the deceptions and editing but I ~appreciate~ the release(!)). Before I test that more, though, I'll do the above with the Blu-rays...

I also agree, its your forum...feel free to remove what you consider junk.

Edit:
I'm letting BD-RB test Robots... Hehe, yep, x264 with the new update failed. I have not added any new switches.. Just extract the archive with WinRAR over existing and run..

I'll rename and download from the links.

Edit 2: Looking good.. A render from Movie and Menus, Output BD-25, Encoding BD-25...2-pass is good from the Log. Audio isn't playing, I'll check that. Video looks good.
I'll try another movie soon...
Were you using LAVF in the encode that failed?

But lo and behold, I found a solution. Simply burning the SAME file package (that fits on a DVD/BD9) onto a BD25 results in a disc that is completely and perfectly playable on my SONY 360!

Go figure ;>}

Anyone have any ideas as to what the nature is of this latest SONY 360 anomaly?

This is nothing new. If the original Bluray has PiP, the Sony S360 does not play back properly full backups with PiP to DVD media. This has been the case from the very beginning of BD-RB.
( Proven when that same backup is burned to BDR/RE media! )

I have a 360 also -- and I don't think it ever had an issue with audio playback -- except the PiP DTS-Express audio itself.

Nope. I've activated it now. Checking... Yep, that fails. I also did 2 tests with MULTIPROCESS=1 and 0. These tests are with the files that you included in the archive.

Back to the files from the links... LAVF de/activated. Doing well. Computer is running Windows 7 64-bit.

There seems indeed to be an issue with the x264.nl version.
I imported an XviD encode in .avi container into BD RB. x264.nl crashed (msvcrt.dll module) when attempting to convert the video, while komisar's build run without a problem.

Every Blu-ray I have ever tried that has PiP and Dolby Digital Plus secondary audio ( not DTS-Express ) experiences the same as setarip_old reported.

Import resize bug?

@jdobbs:
Source is 640x480p 25fps / 4:3 DAR / 1:1 PAR (PAL TV capture)
- Importing with BD RB "Use DEINTERLACER on interlaced sources" disabled converts it to 1280x720i (MBAFF) 25fps / --sar 12:11 which is not Blu-ray compliant
- Importing with BD RB "Use DEINTERLACER on interlaced sources" enabled converts it to 1280 x 720p 25fps / --fake-interlace / --sar 12:11 which is not blu-ray compliant

I think the bug is with the resizing:
It should be resized to 704 x 576p 25fps, AddBorders(8,0,8,0) => 720x576p 25fps / --fake-interlace / --sar 12:11

Perhaps you may look at it.

Hmmm... that player is boxed and put-away, so maybe my memory is fading.

  of X264 that was released in v0.42.6.
- Updated the included version of X264.EXE to the

- Updated the included version of X264-64.EXE to
  the latest release (r2230, komisar).
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.
