Titanic 3D - Merge 2 ISO Files To 1 W/ Authoring

I'm wondering if anyone has successfully merged the 2 Titanic 3D bluray disc ISO images into 1 ISO image? I'm not worried about getting the final merged ISO onto a disc, just to have the image as one file.

I have been able to do some very low level authoring with BDEdit (removing trailers by setting jump points, etc.), but I'm sure the 2 discs to 1 task is much more difficult especially since the playlists (.mpls), SSIF, clip info, and M2TS files on both discs are mostly identically named.

My ultimate goal would be to have the information from both discs merged into one BDMV structure and to bypass any "Continue Feature Film" and/or menu prompts from disc 2.

I'm sure it's a hell of a task. Just wondering if anyone has tackled it yet or would be able to help a authoring novice out.

Thanks!

This is not difficult。
DISC1+DISC2=90G。
you must encoding MVC,and authoring it。

I think he wants to do without re-encoding the video... Just taking the PlayLists together and re-creating an ISO... I'm not sure what tools can do it though (although than the professional tools), doesn't seem like many people are experimenting with the 3D blu-ray format too much (but I could be wrong, it's not something that interests me..)

I did combine the film on this disc into one PlayList, but I converted it to 2D since 3D is something I simply don't care about, but was curious about the seeing the film in the 1.78 aspect ratio. Probably doesn't help much though.

Hello,

Would you be able to share a little more information on what would be needed and how I would be able to:

Encode MVC & author it?

Any links, pointers, or technical advice is greatly appreciated!

I have successfully merged Titanic 3D into one iso using free software.
I simply replaced the "Insert Disc 2" playlist & video with the movie video from disc 2
You'll need a hex editor, DVDFab Virtual Drive, any DVD/Blu-ray burning software

I'm assuming you know how to rip the folders to your hard drive.
1) Delete the SSIF folder
2) Delete the "Insert Disc 2" playlist (00007.mpls) & video (00010.m2ts/00010.clpi)
3) Copy disc 2 videos 00001.m2ts/00001.clpi & 00002.m2ts/00002.clpi to the Disc 1 folders renaming to something like 00101.m2ts/00101.clpi & 00102.m2ts/00102.clpi
4) Copy disc 2 playlist 00800.mpls to Disc 1 renaming to 00007.mpls
5) Use a hex editor to rename the files 00001.m2ts & 00002.m2ts in 00007.mpls to their new names. (Using BDedit you can only rename one of the files)
6) You'll also want to edit the bdmt_eng.xml in the META folder with a text editor and delete the Disc 1 reference.
7) Use DVDFab Virtual Drive to create mini iso and mount it. This rebuilds the SSIF folder using information in the playlists. The SSIF folder only contains symbolic links to the stream files, which is why you end up with double sized video when you copy this folder to your hard drive.
8) Using any DVD/Blu-ray burning software, such as Imgburn, use the write to image to create the full iso from the mounted mini iso

It's a great guild !

But I want to know ,is there any chance that using free software to replace the audio track or subtitle track , and rebuild the file back to 2 DISCS ISO , like the origenal just some tracks being replaced ?

Which Hex Editor do you use for step 5 above. In previous attempts at using hex editors to edit playlist data (for another test I was doing), it was very unsuccessful so I had given up. There are many out there, but I'd like to know which one worked for you.

Thank you for your help, I'm excited to give this a try after a year of waiting...

If you're only replacing tracks and not adding you can probably (haven't tried it) get away with only updating the primary video stream and it's clpi. You should be able to use the original mpls and the secondary video stream since it contains no audio.

You can, of course, use tsmuxer to update the primary video stream and it's clpi just as you would any 2D video. Since you're using the original mpls the "IN TIME" must be the same as the original. Roman used to set this at 10min but most commercial apps usually use 11.65sec. TSmuxer allows you to customize this now.

Just follow the steps above to rebuild the disc. Let me know if it works out.

Does this method "make" the playback continue to D2 seamlessly or you need to play the D2 video when D1 finishes?
If not I wonder if there is an easy way to add the 2nd m2ts to the main mpls (like seamless branching).

Ok it works well to have the 2 discs on an iso image. Each disc is readable separately.

Can not remuxer it to a single file.

1. With tsMuxer, remux file CD1 0001.siff : The time is ok when I remuxer with file CD2, but there are some bug on the framrate CD1 file.
https://1drv.ms/u/s!AjZ2GrU1FiOpzGvA...cbFGY?e=nsqUnD

2. With tsMuxer remux of the file CD1 0800.mpls:
Quote:
I: \ BDMV \ PLAYLIST \ 00800.mpls (01: 47: 59.846)
I: \ BDMV \ STREAM \ SSIF \ 00001.ssif (01: 47: 58.846)
I: \ BDMV \ STREAM \ SSIF \ 00003.ssif (00: 00: 01.000)
The CD2 file is desynchronize by 1 second and always as much bug on the framrate of the file CD1 ...

3. With MakeMKV it makes 2 .mkv file (from 0800.mpls and 0007.mpls). I concatenates with MKVToolNix, I have an error message:
Quote:
--- Warnings issued by the task "Multiplexing file" TITANIC 3D.mk3d "in the folder" F:\ "" launched on 2019-06-15 13:53:27 ---
Track number 0 in the file "H:\TITANIC 3D_t01.mkv" probably can not be concatenated correctly to track number 0 of the file "H:\TITANIC 3D_t00.mkv": The private data of the codec do not match (length: 384 and 363). Check that the resulting file reads correctly from one end to the other. The author of this program will probably not provide any help for problems reading the resulting file.
Apparently it goes nickel ... but if I turn it into .iso (tsMuxer) same problem of the 1.

4. If I put the file 00001.m2ts and 00002.m2ts in tsMuxer:
Quote:
D: \ 00001.m2ts (01: 47: 59.585)
D: \ 00002.m2ts (01: 47: 58.774)
The remux (00001.ssif) still has the same problem ...
If I look at the 00001.m2ts there is no problem on the file, however if I remux the 00001.m2ts (via tsMuxer or MKVToolNix) in 00001-mu.m2ts and 00001-mu.mkv: the 2 remux, have the same problem.
On the other hand, I can remuxer it correctly with the muxer m2ts of MeGUI ... it passes correctly (2 00001.m2ts and 00002.m2ts): 00001-muxed.m2ts and 00002-muxed.m2ts.
If I put them in tsMuxer:
Quote:
G: \ 00001-muxed.m2ts (01: 47: 58.805)
G: \ 00002-muxed.m2ts (01: 47: 58.805)
Put the remux in 00001.ssif has the same problem ... even if I leave it in blu-ray folder and I create a montage iso life DVD-Fab virtual drive: same problem ...

I do not see where this problem comes from !!
