Maybe I used the wrong words. Correctly said:
I don't know if the audio tracks are present after the encode. I definitely know that I am not able to select them in the language menu of the disc on my Panasonic BD60, FW 2.5, when they where not selected in the setup menu. |

If you mean Inspect ?, just look inside the folder that has BD-RB, you will see a file named Inspect. Open that file and click Inspect, and it will tell you if all the associated programs for BD-RB are correctly installed.

BD Rebuilder v0.36.03 (beta)
I have updated the first post of this thread with a link to the latest release of BD-RB (v0.36.03). Changes for this version:
Code:
- Added a new hidden option for specifying the HC Encoder profile to use for movie-only DVD output. The quality of the encode (highest being slowest) can be set by adding "HC_PROFILE=s" to the config (INI) file with "s" being set to "FAST", "NORMAL", or "BEST". The default setting is "NORMAL". - Corrected a syntax error on command lines that could cause encoding failure for DVD output when an audio delay is required. - Corrected an error in which an unmatched language setting (BD to DVD) could cause a build failure when outputting to ALTERNATE/DVD. - Fixed a regression in which ALTERNATE/MKV audio output was always incorrectly being reencoded to DD 2.0 (rather than DD 5.1 when available). - Corrected an error in which audio streams that contained delays, and were not in the initial (SETUP defined) list of selections, could (if later selected from the streams list) be muxed out-of-sync. - Updated the included version of X264.EXE to the latest release (r1772). - Updated the included version of X264-64.EXE to the latest release (r1772). - Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes. |

Hello everyone! i am using BD-rebuilder since a month, thank you to create thatīs wonderful program.
This week i was rebuilding spartacus disc 2 and i have 3 times this problem - [20:24:10] Reencoding: VID_00001, Pass 1 of 1 - Encode failed. Retrying. - Encode failed. Retrying. - Reached retry limit. Aborting. - BD-Rebuilder v0.36.02 (beta) - Windows Version: 6.1 [7600] - AVISYNTH Version: 2.5.7.0, Ok - HAALI Splitter: Ok - FFDSHOW: 3326, Ok - FFDSHOW_RAW_AUDIO: Not recommended setting - WIN7 preferred AVC CODEC: Ok - WIN7 preferred VC-1 CODEC: Ok - WIN7 preferred MPEG2 CODEC: Ok - FFDSHOW VC-1 set to "wmv9", Ok - FFDSHOW MPEG2 set to "libavcodec": Ok - FFDSHOW AVC set to "libavcodec": Ok - X264: Ok - AFTEN: Ok - FAAC: Ok - MP4BOX: Ok - WAVI: Ok - TSMUXER: Ok [16:47:58] - Failed video encode, aborted And i donīt find the solution, the three times the same error in the same part of the rebuild, the interesting thing itīs that the log show "- FFDSHOW_RAW_AUDIO: Not recommended setting" but if i do the inspect show "- FFDSHOW: 3326, Ok - FFDSHOW_RAW_AUDIO: Set to "All Supported", Ok" could you know what itīs happening? Thank very much for your work jdobbs! |

Tried the batch mode last night(0.35.01 I've since updated). Unfortunately, a bug incurred in the first job(Toy Story 3), which apparently aborts all jobs. This is unfortunate eh? For a measly audio problem, which may not exist in following jobs. Error 75 which apparently suggests rebuilder was trying to reference audio that doesn't exist. Not sure how that happened. I did click on audio streams in the streams section. I'm rerunning the job on default settings to see what happens. I only ripped the disc using anydvd. No other processing other than Bd Rebuilder.

Possible undersize?
Re-encoded a Blu-ray to BD-25 keeping audio untouched (DTS-HDMA + AC3 2.0 commentary), 2 pass encode:

I'm still making adjustments to the sizing during beta testing. So I'd expect it to be more accurate by the time I get to v1.00. You can always set a custom target size (see SETUP) that is closer to a full disc -- but right now I don't want to risk oversizing because that requires a complete redo. There wouldn't be any likely visible difference in the output with that small amount of undersizing. I'm not one of the folks who subscribes to the "fill to the edge of the disc" philosophy. But over time it'll get closer. Last edited by jdobbs; 19th November 2010 at 01:25. |

Second attempt of Toy Story 3 went well. This time I didn't fiddle with the audio streams. Sure wish I had a freak processor to eat up this processing job. I'd run a lot more tests Can't wait to see how Sandy bridge and Bulldozer handle this process

A rare but potential bug surfaced regarding mixed audio bitrates within a "Play All" bonus feature for the movie Predators. The bonus feature is 40:12, Evolution of the Species. It is broken up into 8 seperate .m2ts files, with 7 of the files having 448kbps, 6 channel AC3 audio, but one has 224kbps, 2 channel AC3 audio.
The full movie backup completes correctly, as BD-RB keeps the original structure intact and preserves the 8 individual files. However, if movie only is selected, and this .mpls is selected from the other Movie-Only playlist choices, the problem occurs. Since BD-RB attempts to join the 8 seperate m2ts files into one m2ts, and the lone 224kbps 2 channel AC3 is different from the rest, there is a problem. I have never experienced this before, probably very uncommon, but does provide another consideration for joining multi-part m2ts files into one. |

As I said, BD-RB reencodes this Blu-ray correctly if I choose full backup. It maintains the same structure. Only when I select movie only in BD-RB, and choose the associated .mpls, which BD-RB has as an available option to select from does the problem arise. Perhaps if BD-RB read the contents of this mpls, it would detect that the audio streams of each m2ts are not the same and refuse to continue to attempt to join them? I know this is extremely rare, and I really don't have an issue with it. I just wanted to share an experience that could allow BD-RB to make a movie only option that has audio sync or missing audio for a multi-part movie clip. BD-RB already reads the MPLS and each of the CLPI files... but all the audio encoding has to be done together. I could reject is sure... but then I'd get even more bug reports because of the missing segment. What I worry about is that if I start looking for ways to fix things that are out-of-spec, there would be no end to it. Last edited by jdobbs; 19th November 2010 at 19:15. |

Rewording Suggestion To Avoid Confusion
@jdobbs
Maybe in the next program version, and on post #1, you could do some re-phrasing that would avoid confusing newbies, et al: The Matroska splitter is not mentioned in the actual program - instead being referred to as Haali splitter. So if BDRB reports an incorrect Haali splitter during a failed encode, users will go looking for it in post #1 and not find it.... ...maybe reword post #1 to include ..."Matroska", formerly known as... anyway, thought it might help. |
