A way to check these videos easily?
Let's say you have two sources from the same content.
One is in SD quality and the other in HD. SD video has an audio track that I need to insert into the HD one. However if I pause the same moment/frame from a scene in both I discover: - The SD video frame is located at: 02:00:520 - The HD one is located at: 02:01:502 So what I do is simple: if I am to move tracks from SD to HD I need to inform MKVToolnix to introduce a positive delay of 1000 ms or 1 second. This in the end makes tracks from #1 in sync with #2, because that's the difference between them. The problem with this idea is doing this to many videos and using a player like MPC-HC to pause the exact frame/scene in both sources. How can I open MKV files and others like MP4, AVI, etc. and pause them at the exact same frame/second? Minor differences don't matter, as long as they are at the same spot, so I know how much delay is there. |

You might try VirtualDub2.
