Font style .sup
Does anyone know how to create a .sup from .srt like this lovely one:
I can achieve something similar with tsMuxer but there are some bugs that handles commas, space and italics incorrectly so the result is not usable. (Oh how I wish roman76r or physic would pick up their work...) Now I use easySUP but that little app has some limitations. (Oh how I wish deank would pick up his work...) SubTitle Edit can nicely export to .sup. (Oh how I wish Nikse555 would add more options in "Image settings" like the ones in PotPlayer...) When using PotPlayer I can add outline + second outline width/depth, shadow, also outline blur and gaussian blur. These settings I use are almost identical to the .sup I want to create. Unfortunately there is no way to export or save to .sup from PotPlayer. Any ideas, anyone? Best regards Last edited by varekai; 7th October 2018 at 09:14. Reason: . |

That's Sans Serif Bold.
What seems to be the problem? The shaddow? Nothing prevents you from doing this in any bitmap renderer then replace the bitmap of the tsmuxer (or easysup) with the newly create done, paying attention to the palette.

Load a black video in pot, attach these subtitles, set the output to file, then via a script save as bitmap every changed frame - replace the bitmaps of tsmuxer/easysup with the new ones (manual, script), then see if they need to be repositioned.
Again I am not sure what is not replicable in those software? You said it's not the font. But you have not answered whether it's the shadow, although you quoted the message.

What is it you don't understand? 1. Demux .sup from BD using tsMuxer. 2. Edit .sup in SubTitle Edit and save as .srt. 3. Open .srt in an app (like easySUP) where I can select font type, (like Segoe UI), add text color/transparency/width/depth/outline color/2nd outline color/shadow/outline blur/gaussian blur, then render/export/save to .sup. Clear enough? Last edited by varekai; 15th October 2018 at 21:00. |

I do not understand WHAT you think these software you said you used CANNOT REPLICATE what pot player could do.
For me both easysup and tsmuxer create good looking subtitles.

You were the one that showed me goSUP and easySUP, thanks for that! easySUP settings limitation SubTitle Edit settings limitations tsMuxer 1.10.6 to BD sup easySUP to BD sup tsMuxer 2.6.12 BD to sup bug Original BD sup Using Panasonic ZT60 plasma, OPPO BD-95 player, PC, PotPlayer+madVR, HDMI to plasma. This is the best looking sub in my opinion! PotPlayer srt This is what I'd like to use for my BD sup projects. Now if I only could find an app... Personally, I like thinking of betty font the most since I discovered them. Does anyone here use it? I am just curious. In general, I always use new and interesting fonts because I am the kind of person who loves to be different and for example, at university, I always do the projects and everything in my own way to have high grades and amazed the teachers, which I always succeed. That's why I always use special fonts and it is very amazing.
