Intel's iGPU has been always a joke. I guess that iGPU is too old/weak or has bugged driver for this task.

RipBot Update

I see there were updates to the core, mkvtoolnix, mvtools, and plugins_JPSDR. Any thing we should notice?

On short clips the autocrop in batch mode is sometimes getting stuck, not sure why.
Update: sent a PM with an example video that fails for me.

Medium seems to be less blurry and without some artefacts

MEDIUM

SLOW (notice artifacts on stairs and on the roof of the black VW Golf. Grass and wall on left is also slightly blurrier)

You wouldn't by chance still have these images? I was trying to help someone with QTGMC and they were saying:

I used QTGMC slow for Wentworth Season 1 and it's come out pretty good and clean. Since mentioning that medium is better than slow, ran a test clip on both slow and medium. Got better size, bitrate, and quality with slow.
Also banding was present in the medium but not slow, could of probably be countered with another filter but would increase the time of encode but who knows

v1.23.0 Changelog
Code:
Added: HDR to SDR conversion directly in script (no bottleneck if used with prefetch)
Added: Automatic pre-indexing of all audio streams after demuxing
Added: Two new command line switches to EncodingServer.exe
/x264-opencl-device X and /knlmeanscl-opencl-device X. Where X is a device number
Example: EncodingServer.exe /x264-opencl-device 0 /knlmeanscl-opencl-device 1
Added: support for PRORES as input format.
Fixed: Various bugs reported since last major version
For best multi-threaded performance during HDR to SDR conversion add this line

Does not work. For the second Audio Track an Index File is created, but it has a Size of 1kb. It is first being indexed when selecting the Track in Ripbot.

Hi Atak,

For those of us that use DE all the time, it might be handy if there was a small display that showed what Job # was being processed.

Maybe in the top border of the DE Window...

eg:- Distributed Encoding is currently processing Job # XXX.

Yet, it appears it didn't update me to 1.23.0.

EDIT: Thought I would be crafty and rollback to 1.22.0 and try.... now I am stuck on 1.22.0....

UPDATE: Apparently the solution is to just keep running the updater... eventually it kicks in. I am on 1.23.0 now.

I have an issue with one of my UHD BD rips and the TrueHD/Atmos audio. For whatever reason Ripbot is just not liking it.

http://i.cubeupload.com/CPCM7F.jpg

I have ripped the disc with MakeMKV same way as all of my UHD BD discs and of the thirty or so I have converted this is the only one giving me grief. I even went so far as to re-rip it in the hopes maybe there was an error with the first rip. Any ideas?

EDIT: Spoke too soon. Same thing just happened with Cars 3.

EDIT: Add Coco to the list too.

EDIT: Here is the MediaInfo for Baywatch.

Looks like I ran into another problematic disc. Brawl in Cell Block 99 is not in HDR, but a 10-bit encode (BT.709). Ripbot is reporting that it is HDR (BT.2020) and causing some crazy blown out video as a result. I have gone and turned off the BT.2020 to BT.709 tonemap option manually. I am awaiting the result.

UPDATE: Ripbot stalls if I disable tonemapping. Not too sure what is going on here.

I would like to chime in about this "new" tonemapping option.

I used it for the first time today, and I had a x265 1080p to run thru, and it's default was the BT.2020 to BT.709 setting (the only other option is no tonemapping).

Anyway, with the default settings I let it run thru, and the playback was horrible, the colors & contrast, etc were just awful.

So I ran it thru again with no tonemapping, and there's no picture at all, it's just a black screen with audio

Might have to "downgrade" to the previous build...it all worked a treat.

Could "we" have 3 options ??? no tonemapping, BT.2020 & BT.709 (not that I know what these numbers mean)
