Many thanks ! MPC-HC is still my first player of choice, followed by MPC-BE.

Because it is used in MPC-HC: Be aware of the RIAA takedown of the original youtube-dl repo on github; there is a fork: yt-dlc.

EDIT: SOLVED. For any Googlers searching for a fix, here is what fixed it for me. In the nVidia Control Panel, navigate to Manage 3D Settings and set "Vertical sync" to On.
Had anybody else had the following issue and know of a fix? I'm running the lastest version of MPC-HC with madVR 113 and the latest LAV filters. When attempting to play a 4K video in full screen I'm seeing intermittent frame drops that are not recorded by the madVR debug OSD. But as soon as I bring up a context menu or play in a window, playback is perfectly smooth. I'm not running madVR in fullscreen exclusive mode. The same madVR and LAV filters settings in Kodi 17.7 with DSPlayer is perfectly smooth. Some specs: Geforce RTX 2070S Latest nVidia drivers Windows 10 w/ latest updates Desktop 3840x2160, YCbCr 422 @ 10bit 16GB RAM

It is not a bug in MPC. Similar issues also happen in other apps and with Intel/AMD, so most likely bug in Windows 10 or a driver.
Another thing you can try is to disable fullscreen optimizations in the Windows compatibility settings for MPC. Also use LatencyMon to check for DPC latency issues caused by drivers. |

Hello.
I'm trying to figure out what "ctrl+3" called "Information" function offers. I could be blind but I can't see anything after I select this option.

No idea on how to solve this problem but I can confirm it happens on my end but using MPC-BE with the 456.71 drivers. It is annoying because my screen blanks twice rather than once when I open an HDR video and again when I close it.

This issue has nothing to do with MPC-HC or any player, actually. It is well known at this point and has been around for a while. See here: https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=176013

It seems that the 20H2 windows update has nullified that problem since I installed it 30 minutes ago. When I now play content that matches or is divisible by my refresh rate (96hz) it does not do that silly bullocks anymore......what a result. Is it the same for you BetA13?

Is there any chance to see a "flybar" similar to that of mpc-be? https://i.imgur.com/0q0Z9Hh.png

Good morning,
I have a question, please, about the ways mpc-hc can be programatically controlled. For instance, mpv supports, on Windows, JSON IPC through a named pipe, making it possible to write wrappers to extend its capabilities (for UPnP support as a DLNA renderer for example). I have spotted that mpc-hc offers a rather elaborated web interface, and investigated the javascript codes tied to the different web pages, but all I have found relies on HTTP requests. In particular, the update of the display of the status of the player is realized through polling (statusLoop function) if I understand correctly how the script works (I am far from mastering this language). Does that mean that there is no eventing management nor websocket support ? Thanks in advance for any indication. |
