ffdshow and/or SVP Breaks Subtitles Consistently On One Series

So I recently learned about SVP, and it works alright for most of my media (Anime, some movies, etc).

I have one series however that seems to cause chaos during one specific part, and only when subtitles are enabled. The show is Aldnoah.Zero, and the part specifically is during the OP right after the camera sweep on Asseylum (about halfway through).

As for what happens, a bunch of numbers appear on the screen, and there's heavy frame dropping.



I've limited the problem down to the subtitles (playback is fine without subtitles enabled during that part), and it only seems to happen if ffdshow is involved (MPC-HC or VLC on their own playback the scene fine with subtitles).

I'm using SVP currently, and have tried with both MPC-HC and PotPlayer to no avail (both do the same thing at that same part).
