nVidia GTX 1070 Temporal Dithering

Can someone explain how temporal dithering works when using the nVidia GTX 1070 graphics card Limited Dynamic Range mode? I captured 60 frames as RGB24 raw and it's not making sense what algorithm they are using.

What about it doesn't make sense? What does the capture reveal?
