Not sure what you mean. It has a scan for all mpls, and give you a list, or if you know what mpls has the angle you need you can just load that one.
I do like MakeMKV better for angles though.

Ah that's very nice! I think I have an older version, and on that clicking on "database" does nothing. I have to try a newer version, thanks.

Thanks for your work and that you realize user wishes.

The main job of DGDemux should not be chapters!! For such task exists other tools. The extraction to OGG chapters is OK.
Chapter names on BDs is so rare.

When you load a mpls with multiple Angles inside to MKVToolNix(MTX) you don't have an option to choose an Angle. Angle 1 is always used.

Multi Editons: Some BDs have multiple movie versions and you can't create a multi mkv with MTX.

Sorry, I must be a little slow but I still don't know what you mean. Maybe you are talking about something I didn't see before.

When you said angles, I assumed you meant seamless branching discs with such features:

1) Animation type movies with replacement files that are specific for a certain language. e.g one angle has video titles in English, another in Spanish etc.

2) Theatrical and Direcors' Cut on same disc, with certain m2ts files replaced on each.

each such angle always has its own unique mpls.

What I understood from your comment is that MTX is unable to load a unique mpls properly.
Maybe I did get you right, I very rarely use MTX for that but MakeMKV.

A single playlist can have multiple angles. Yes, the angle does select different M2TS files, but it is implemented with angle syntax in the single playlist file.

Maybe you have seen it but not right recognized what is an Angle mpls.

Yes, Angle works like you said.

Also right. -> multi Edition BD

Like multi Edition BDs are the m2ts files split to many chunks and uses seamless branching

This is not correct. Each mpls is correctly loaded in MTX. A missing option is not an issue.

@ mini-moose

I have here a test BD from Star Trek TNG which uses both cases, Angles and multi Editions. Each edition mpls has multiple Angles inside.

I'm happy to have a new tool which works perfect to demux seamless branching disc, for all other discs is MTX my first choice.

It was harder than I thought to get my GUI to show the progress indication from DGDemux but I managed to get it working. You GUI programmers probably have this down cold but I've never done anything like this before.

Here's what the GUI looks like so far:

Looks nice, but I think I'll still prefer cli version.
But for common user it's nice to have GUI.
My only one wish for cli version, like I said before, is to have an indication of completed process if it possible (it's already in todo list)

PS: Maybe it is possible to have default output name like "DGDemux" or "playlist name" when using just "-o"?
I like "-o NAME" feature, but I think having a default name is even better.

Looks nice.

A GUI is also important, because more common user can use this powerful software and can report issues.

When you see 100 it is all over. What's the problem? Just like mkvtoolnix.

Still thinking about UI issues. Please test demuxing and AV sync!

GUI is ready for testing. Release coming tomorrow, unless Bullwinkle jumps the gun tonight!

@ videoh

In your GUI, will there be a possibility to check "extract chapter-timings"?

I guess chapters are extracted every time automatically.

@videoh

What is the state of "appending" m2ts files for extracting? In your GUI I can load only one mpls.
I hope in cli tool I can use appended m2ts files as input.

It's on my to-do list. You have to be patient. If you have an nVidia card, then DGIndexNV can do it. I'll give you a free license.

Yes, chapters are always extracted.

Erm ok. Every Multi Edition (Theatrical and Extended) I've seen was showing a different mpls# on eac3to and so do the animation ones.
I think I'm just not following your explanation properly.

Can you maybe give an eac3to output example from one of those discs?

I've updated the GUI snapshot above to the latest. You may have to refresh the page. The main changes are that the M2TS file list is displayed and the auxiliary options are supported. Looking for a release later today.

I don't think hubblec4 is saying the multi-edition disks use angles. He was analogizing.

Look, I've already explained this. A single MPLS file may specify a different list of M2TS files, depending on the selected angle. That is one way to do things. Another way is to have a separate MPLS for each combination of M2TS files. I hope it is clear.

Code:
eac3to v3.33
command line: "X:\eac3to.exe" "X:\STAR_TREK_S1D2 multi Multi-Angle BD"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) 00010.mpls (angle 1), 0:50:39
   [75+77+78+80+81+83+84+86+87+88+89+120+91+93+94+96+97+98+99+122+203].m2ts
   - Chapters, 6 chapters
   - VC-1, 1080p24 /1.001 (16:9)
   - DTS Master Audio, English, multi-channel, 48kHz
   - AC3, English, stereo, 48kHz
   - AC3, Spanish, stereo, 48kHz
   - AC3, French, stereo, 48kHz

2) 00010.mpls (angle 2), 0:50:39
   [76+77+79+80+82+83+85+86+119+88+90+120+92+93+95+96+121+98+100+122+203].m2ts
   - Chapters, 6 chapters
   - VC-1, 1080p24 /1.001 (16:9)
   - DTS Master Audio, English, multi-channel, 48kHz
   - AC3, English, stereo, 48kHz
   - AC3, Spanish, stereo, 48kHz
   - AC3, French, stereo, 48kHz
You can see that both titles uses the same mpls but different m2ts files.
