Is the new AViDemux good to use?
I was looking for way to stream copy mkv and mp4 files and someone recommended that I use AVIDemux. I was excited to use this program until I heard how the new ones have a bit of quality loss that can affect video files (although it may say more about the source than the program). I really want to use this program but I do not want lose any quality. With that said however, is the new AVIDemux safe to use? Or am I better off with something else?

When you copy streams you can't lose quality, whatever program you use.
And when you encode you have to use proper settings. It's a general rule, it's not about Avidemux which is, after all, a front end of libraries used in many converters. |

He means Direct Stream Copy, ie unaltered from source. [Trimming clip only]

There have been no such bug reports for v2.7.9 (or any other version AFAIK).
Avidemux is a GUI which uses it's own demuxers.
