Redfox (AnyDVD et all) appears to be gone
AnyDVD, AnyStream, CloneDVD, CloneBD, etc...
Their domain - redfox.bz - no longer resolves. It's been offline now for nearly 24 hours. No one seems to know anything, so anything could be happening. No one I've talked to so far seems to know if there is any other "official" means of communication outside of redfox.bz (like Telegram or something like that), so I'm not sure how anyone is going to learn anything if redfox.bz doesn't come back. This is the longest I've seen redfox.bz just disappear like this. There have been some similar instances in the past, but it's always been resolved within a few hours. Again, it's not just not responding, the DNS has been pulled so that it no longer resolves. .bz is a Belize domain. The last IP that redfox.bz resolved to is 45.93.138.193. This IP points to the Lithuanian ISP Hostinger, which seems to be where they were hosted. I'm not sure if there was a content delivery network that pointed to servers hosted on other ISPs in other parts of the world. https://statuspage.hostinger.com/ https://whoisfreaks.com/tools/whois/lookup/redfox.bz https://whois.domaintools.com/redfox.bz https://ipinfo.io/ (enter 45.93.138.193) https://ipinfo.io/products/whois-api (enter 45.93.138.193) ![]() |

It is still down today. Firefox, Chrome and Edge state:
We’re having trouble finding that site. We can’t connect to the server at www.redfox.bz. I hope this is not serious? I have a lifetime subscription at $$$. The RedFox forum members started reporting this from April 22 and May 10: Problem connecting to AnyDVD update server! Is AnyDVD currently down? At the moment, you can still update to 8.7.1.0 (3rd April 2024) https://www.videohelp.com/software/AnyDVD/old-versions Unfortunately, this did not help. I have several Blu-ray movies, and AnyDVD needs to connect to their server to decrypt. I have even their optional database containing Blu-ray discs, which are not included in the AnyDVD application: AnyDVD Protection Database. The version I have could be too old. Not sure what to do now. |

I installed Xreveal and the installation was quick and easy.
https://www.videohelp.com/software/Xreveal Just a note, that your Internet Service Provider could issue a false positive and block their site. When I tried to connect to their website, this happened: THIS WEBSITE HAS BEEN BLOCKED. When I tried to decrypt a DVD or Blu-ray, I got this: Cannot connect to server for cloud decryption I tried a number of Website Safety & Security Checks, and https://www.xreveal.com/ passed 100% as safe. I had to get the false positive removed from my ISP. The free version can connect to Xreveal's server for decryption. Last edited by WSC4; 14th June 2024 at 02:02. Reason: First post had incorrect statements. My ISP was blocking due to a false positive |

Did you put the keydb.cfg file in that directory? Or did you put it in its default directory which is different than what it's looking for?

Yes, I put it in that directory: C:\ProgramData\aacs\KeyDB.cfg. The author of the program has sent me a PM and I'll work through his instructions later.
//UPDATE// Just to let you know that it was not Xreveal that was failing. It was my Internet Service Provider blocking his site and it was a false positive. Also, I did not really need KeyDB.cfg. The free version can connect to Xreveal's server for decryption. Meanwhile, I sent an e-mail last Friday to RedFox. I had all their info from when I purchased the program September 2021. It cost 109.00 EUR for a lifetime licence. I had a sinking feeling it would be futile. This is what came back: Despite repeated attempts to deliver your message, querying the Domain Name System (DNS) for the recipient's domain location information failed. You're in good hands. I'm sure he'll get you squared away with whatever's going on.
Given that Redfox has been down a week at this point, I'm not super hopeful. I've not seen any statements anywhere from someone that worked there. It's quite sad, really.

Not only AnyDVD HD is gone,
today I looked for a new keyDB.cfg at FindVUK Online Database, it's gone too. Wasn't at 08.06.2024. So maybe some takedown orders? |
