It is a demo disc which is not for sale and is distributed freely with new Panasonic Viera 3D TV sets.

I thought it is okay to share it.

Some tweaks in the latest update for some more anaglyph depth.

deank, after updating to build 757, multiAVCHD now acts very slugish, especially trying to view custom menus and button highlight changes, etc..
It's about a 30 second delay before the preview will display. Not just the real time preview either. Kind of frustrating.
Anything change? Can I do/set anything differently to speed up previews?

ALSO:
I noticed when I used multiAVCHD to transcode some files, before it would start a pop up message asking to use ffdshow or not, once or never, that I needed to respond to.
What is the correct response to this message? I want to make the correct selection and check always to it to avoid this nagging message.

It is probably caused by ffdshow and a hidden prompt whether avsinfo.exe is allowed to use it.

Add .\tools\avsinfo.exe in the allowed apps to use ffdshow, or simply remove the restrictions in ffdshow if you have them set by default.

Few pages back there are some screenshots about ffdshow.

This is the post.

Thanks for the link, but I guess I'm not with it this morning.
I am using FFDSHOW: 3326 for compatibility with BD-RB, is that OK?
I am not understanding the instructions for ffdshow, since mine appears to be as the screen shot shows.
Would you be so kind to instruct me the necessary steps, in particular this: Add .\tools\avsinfo.exe ?

I believe this is the screenshot:

Remove the check-box [x] Use ffdshow only in...

or edit the list (if it is checked) and add avsinfo.exe from tools folder... I'd suggest to disable the checkbox at all.

I am not having good luck here! (Feeling old today!)
Tried that, both check boxes are un-selected, but still have the delay.
Tried adding avsinfo.exe, mx264.exe, x264.exe, but nothing is working, still waiting for the preview!
Oh well, thanks! Sorry to be a PITA, but patience for the preview has become a deterrent to having fun.

Hmmm...

The only change in in 756/757 is about using avsinfo.exe when generating previews (and not x264). If you wish - rename avsinfo.exe in tools folder to avsinfo.xxx and try again. If you have the delay when transcode starts - then it means there is something changed @ your and between your last attempts and now.

Also make sure that you do the changes in ffdshow while no ffdshow is running. I can't think of anything else

I can't even click on the media title properties to view chapters, audio, subtitles, etc... without waiting 30+ seconds! Before it was just the menu preview, but now the whole program options give this delay!
Even blanking titles from a BD-RB full movie backup is delayed to choose/select the title to blank.

All is related to the very same thing. Executing avisynth scripts - be it with avsinfo.exe or x264.exe.

OK! Renaming avsinfo.exe in tools folder to avsinfo.xxx worked!!
Now I am back to quicker previews like before. The real time menu preview still has the 30+ second delay, but it always had that for me. Blanking responds quickly too.
Thanks deank, I appreciate your help!

If renaming works then it means that you NEED to find the option in ffdshow (like discussed above).

You get the same delay because of ffdshow NOT recognizing x264/mx264.

There is no proper answer to the prompt (which I personally have never seen), because there is no option 'always allow'.

You must find a way to allow multiAVCHD's tools to use ffdshow (including avsinfo.exe which you renamed to .xxx).

I would like to find the cause, and have been trying unsuccessfully for almost two hours.
I am just pleased I am back to where I was before the last update!
My limited abilities here prevent me from figuring out the cause, and am just thankful you helped me get back to where I was.

OK, thanks for the clarification. I have restored your link. It was my duty to check that.

Thanks. I believe it will help developers (if anyone decides to download it), because it may be the only free 3D Blu-ray title available.

Structure and content differs quite a lot from regular titles. New movie-object commands, new folders for stereo decoding (SSIF), new stream layout (1 m2ts for left eye, another complimentary for the right delta).

deank, I have tried again to find the cause of this issue, but still no luck.
For now, my best option is to just not use avsinfo.exe.
Would it be possible for you to implement setting up ffdshow properly for multiAVCHd on install of multiAVCHD, similar to BD-RB?
Would there be any kind of conflict for BD-RB if this was done?

No, I can't implement such feature. multiAVCHD does NO changes to user's configuration or registry settings and I'll keep it that way.

ffdshow settings for BD-RB are in no conflict with multiAVCHD. It just requires a way to decode video via 'directshow' - nothing else.

OK thanks deank. I have exhausted myself trying to find the cause of this 30+ second delay.
Since noone else is having this issue, it must be on my end.
I have read and re-read the setup procedures, uninstalled and reinstalled ffdshow and Haali, and still have the same results.
I will have to be satisfied, for now , with avsinfo.exe disabled.

deank, I finally got it to work!
My ffdshow installation has a DXVA Video Decoder Configuration option as well as a Video Decoder Configuration option. When I select this one and uncheck " Use ffdshow only in:" my delay is fixed.
So I have both video decoder configurations set the same, and all is well!
Thanks again for working with me on this one, I do appreciate it.

I'm glad you found the option. Now please restore avsinfo.exe
