Everyone here is wrong and you're right... We don't know what we're doing and you are here to save us all... I'm thinking that the only problem here is the user. As said above, learn how to use your tools before blaming them for the mess you made.

1. again you are wrong I am not here to save anyone !!!
i wrote here about technical problems you have with the player! that's the reality I see!
and others see!

1.1 Read Your Answer - Step 1 in Psychology - Denial
Nothing rational, no answer related to reality

2. Each time I explain the technical problems in your player and others on PC and you take it personally !

3. Read:
No wonder the lowest-level HDR can't work with your player!
that's one problem!
and there are many problems with non-dynamic filters!

no dynamic filters - no HDR 10
no dynamic filters - no HDR 10 +
no dynamic filters - no Dolby Vision HDR
no dynamic filters - no quality, no life in sound.
no dynamic filters = Today the player's life will be short!

4. don't you look a little weird ?
i have been living this topic for 20 years
for 20 years I have known various forums of developers who told me exactly the same:

"We know what we are doing" and after a year they are gone!
and their player is gone or taken for free to other developers.

5. Instead of going down on me personally, try to understand the problems with your player!
Try to understand that today every TV player does a much better job than your computer player!

Not to mention HDR - your player has no ability to really play HDR
It just doesn't look good (and I've explained why)

6. LG OLED - Understand the problems with external players
and therefore LG spend a lot of money on an internal player on screen!
Sound quality!
eARC!
HDMI 2.1!

Try to answer what you have to offer ?
What do you have to sell to customers on your computer ?

7. next year will start a wave of HDMI 2.1!
you think if you go down on customers or people Will it change the situation ?

8. go see Panasonic 9000/820 players, Pioneer 500/800, Sony 700 and you'll realize that you don't even have this HDR just doesn't work.

9. OPPO or Cambridge - who succeeded in creating a player, shut down the factories!
Don't even sell their factory!

OPPO department's value, according to accounting reports over $ 100 million, failed to sell the department to create Blue Ray

9.1 They stopped producing because high-quality coded development costs are too expensive!
and didn't believe they would sell Blue Ray for $ 750

9.2 Today they eat the hat! Blue Ray Ultra 203 Cost 2100$+++
No warranty and no support, no firmware update!

18 months earlier it sold for $ 450

9.3 People currently sell used OPPO 203 for $ 1000 +++
People are offering me $ 800 on a used OPPO 103D player

OPPO UDP-205 Ultra HD Audiophile Blu-ray Disc Player
Sold for $ 4500 ++++

10. ask yourself how you might have a player who does the same job and for free and people don't want you ???

do you think it would be nice to come here and tell you there is a problem With the player ???

do you think it pleases me to tell the truth and get curses ???

What will I gain from this ???

10.1 do you think that uttering the truth requires courage on my part ? Or stupidity ?

+ Don't use ffdshow
+ Don't use shaders
+ Don't do other stupid stuff
= Problems solved

I wish it was as simple as you describe!

you need to keep in mind that PC players are currently based on passive encoders
and NO rec 2020 NO rec 2100 NO rec DCI-P3...
( sooooo win 10 can't transfer UHD there is no suitable color scheme at all) !!!

If you can't watch regular UHD
you probably can't watch UHD HDR and other dynamic encoders that aren't on your computer !!!
No driver for color UHD NO dynamic encoders for UHD
So how can you really see a UHD movie

(you may have a low level of REC 709 designed for HD viewing )

Years have spared the development of dynamic drivers, dynamic encoders that today all players are not worth watching through a computer!

from the DVD era as the quality of the pixels increased and the quality of the colors increased ( 601/709/P3/2020 )

you Stop investing in coders! Stop investing in image processors!
and the result = disappearing watch quality! The movies playing is bad on computer and wrong!

Years that did not build player systems that fit to high-quality computers

(and see that people stopped buying new computers, why buy a movie player for bad player movie quality? the player no longer needs a CPU
everything became passive and the quality went down very badly / incorrectly / in the wrong movie lighting / pixel distortion........

( at the end of the day, parents buy a new computer for PLAYER that needs a lot of CPU and child for new games!
PLAYER does not need a CPU, does not buy a computer, because the players no longer give good results /No CPU required )

in the 90/2000 people came to visit the homes of others to see new computers / movies and quality that can be obtained through a new computer!
that there is no quality of movies / PLAYER
Don't buy computers !!!

All the thinking of player developers save money in developing players / coders / player engine
Just save processing power
Just don't consume CPU
Just don't consume electricity
that all the quality of the viewing was simply not good (and I'm fine)

Instead of building coders that fit any lighting situation in the movie
and the color that was in the movie at that moment!
There is only one passive encoder that shows in 60 seconds, maybe 5 seconds colors and pixels are correct and I'm only talking about movies up to HD!

UHD can't even be seen correctly in computer players.

Luckily for all of us, you are just flat out wrong in any of your statements. PCs can send BT.2020 to TVs, PCs can send HDR to TVs. If it doesn't work for you, maybe thats a problem on your end only.

Also, if you don't believe computers can play video properly anymore, why do you come to a forum like this? Why don't you just spend a couple thousand dollars on a so-called videophile player and leave us alone?

Sure PC can send REC 2020 / P3, but your software MPC-BE / MPC-HC x64 can't do it!
that's the reality.
there is no filter and color system in the player REC 2020 / REC P3
Interestingly anyone can actually test this and that is before lab tests.

In practice your color system is BT 601 and can be converted to BT 709
and of course get unpleasant side effects!
the HDR with madVR - Not only does not exist, it gives poor and distorted results ( The 4K movie looks worse than HD in = OPPO )

Your players were not designed at all for the REC 709 color system or beyond
and still can't play beyond REC 601

why do you thinking people say after watching your player that HDR is bullshit ???

no wonder these players were thrown in the trash!
the one you added filters is inappropriate, not built right.

Really?
Show me a marble filter in the player that gives 24 BIT real color?
Show me a filter in the player that gives REC 2020?
Show me a filter giving P3?

there are no such filters in the players!
If no player exists, how do you declare it exists? Or can play HDR or 4K?
REC 709 color system is also manipulated, not real !

again and again you are twisting my answers and reality!
your players cannot play a real HD color system
And certainly not HDR
And they certainly do not have REC P3 or REC 2020 filters !

You call yourself a developer, how do you not know that there is no color system in HDR or 4K in your player?

madVR - It is a filter not related to your player, it manipulates as if HDR
But in practice it takes the REC 601/709 color system from your player and distorts it as if it were HDR

your madVR can be installed on any desktop without a player and distort colors like HDR In practice it is a scam and it destroys the colors

How can the filter give true HDR colors?
if the madVR filter has colors from your player MPC-BE / MPC-HC x64 at about REC601 / 709 ?

madVR filter connects to your player and receives a REC 601 color
And does manipulation

and you blame me, on what?

everything is present for color management if you can't set it up correct you and your ignores are to blame nothing else.

are you Serious ?
your entire answer has nothing to do with anything I write.

the actual player color system that exists in the player up to REC 601
From DVD days ( not HD and certainly not UHD )

what am I guilty of?
that I'm not ready to tell a delusional story about a color scheme that doesn't exist
?

If you're such a genius, show us where the REC 709 color system is in the player?
REC 2020 or P3 player

there is some filter that you added REC 601 to 709
which is not actually adding color, it adds brightness that is not related to color
More manipulation?

this filter again makes the movie worse

after the story of madVR that does not exist
HDR that does not exist
What remains is a DVD player built 15 years ago and 100 stories unrelated to reality?

In every movie I open in low light sections, there are no colors at all in your player
Except for black and white and brown!
Is it your REC 709 or P3 or 2020 ?

The player selects between 601/709 automatically based on the encoding settings (with resolution based fallback).

The shader you mention is for performing color correction on files that have been encoded wrong. It is not for normal use. You have already been told before that you should not use any of the shaders.

P3/2020 output is possible by using MadVR as the renderer.
MPC-HC options > Playback > Output
You can configure HDR and colors stuff here:
MadVR options > Devices
You can press Ctrl+J during playback to view color related information.

YOU get wrong colors because YOU are doing things wrong.

The moment you use any "filter" on the video, you are already doing it wrong. Also, 90% of your statements I don't even understand because your english is horrible and you keep using wrong words. Try making simple sentences.
But I can ensure you that you can get perfect BT.2020 and HDR output with MPC-HC and madVR if you actually set it up properly and your TV supports it.

As a developer, I actually know what happens to the data from a file, to being decoded, and shown on the screen, and you do not. And for DirectShow players like MPC-HC/BE and others, the player does not matter! Players do not care, they do not even touch the video, they only offer an UI and playback controls, the only part that cares is the renderer, and if you use madVR for that, it can output perfect BT.2020, or DCI-P3, and in HDR if you want it to.

There is a lot of critical people using madVR to play UHD HDR movies, both here and on AVS Forums, and many of them would complain quite loudly if HDR didn't look right on their high-end screens and projectors, so I can ensure you that it does. But you won't ever believe anything we say, and we can't fix your issues, so why don't you just move on.
