Splitting or rendering into YouTube-friendly 15 minute video parts

How might I go about (1) splitting an existing video (that has audio) and (2) rendering a video (with audio) into YouTube-friendly 15 minute parts? I have been curious about this for quite a long time but just never seemed to get down to asking about this.

I appreciate responses and help!

Depends on the video. One cutter can't cut them all. You might start by telling us what kind it is. Maybe post a Tree View from MediaInfo.

What, if anything, does this have to do with AviSynth? Moving you to Newbies.

Well I was hoping there would be a simple step-by-step thing I could follow. I wouldn't know if AVS scripting and execution would be required. Sometimes I have stuff straight from the camcorder, sometimes I have stuff that has already passed through an encoder and been put into a container and so forth.

Using AviSynth requires a reencode. To answer your hope, no, there's no step-by-step. Maybe AVIDemux is the closest to being able to cut most formats:

I normally use MKVMerge to split my videos into 14minutes parts just to be safe.
You can try AVIDemux as well.
Both tools are cross-platform

Very much thanks! AVIDemux is very easy to use once you get the hang of it, and you can split videos just like that very quickly with hotkey usage.

If your YouTube account is old enough and has not received any copyright strike, the 15-minute limit should have disappeared anyway.
