@RandomEngy
I cut out a small part (226mb) of an m2ts using Smart Cutter, keeping audio and subtitle. Wanted to shrink it down to 70mb mp4. Out of old habit I fired up first RipBot and it couldn't do it, all sorts of issues. Then fired up StaxRip and getting all sorts of other problems. I noticed your tool so I thought I'd give it a try, and voilą! Worked like a charm! So thanks for your work on this tool! It will be my number 1 from now on! Much appreciated! Code:

Been playing around with the subtitles and VidCoder. Read just about every thread and on the VidCoder page as to which are supported etc... Haven't found a guide on which to pick and the options for each when doing so. I found that just clicking on closed captions will bring them over, no need for default, burn in, forced. Now if you choose a VobSub and a closed caption, just check the closed caption and burn in the VobSub. That'll work. Not sure if Default with the VobSub and just checking closed caption will go through. If you pick foreign audio search burn in and a VobSub or any external subtitle and you check it as burn in it will not copy any video whatsoever. I can provide logs so you can see. Has the foreign audio search ever worked in conjunction with any other subtitle, VobSub or not? What would be the proper options when using closed captions, VobSubs, foreign audio search, either together, or apart? When it comes to closed captions and foreign audio search, I think just clicking them without any further options will bring them over. Thing is I don't think they play well being checked at the same time. It's tricky and I've yet to see any specific guide on this. I can help out with different combinations of either one. Oh, if you only have closed captions as a subtitle you have to burn them in. They won't transfer over by just checking them.

Did you notice a slowing down of the conversion encoding process when adding more than one file to the queue? I noticed my frames per second went down from 12.3 or so to 4.3 after adding an additional item after the first. At first I thought it was because I went from fast 720p 30 to fast 1080p 30, though then as the queue Jobs started finishing up the frames per second started speeding up.

not really a bug but still a wierd thing
how to reproduce add a bunch of stuff to the queue (like 3 pages) go to the bottom of the queue select like 2 pages( more than what u see in the window) tell to move items to top of queue now if u click somewhere the highligheted selection should be on the item u selected and not the previously selected 2 pages of stuff wrong the system still has highligheted the stuff that isnt on screen! edit- plz add an option for people that want to NOT DELETE failed items (just found a failed one within an ocean of finished stuff by accident) Last edited by napouser; 7th March 2019 at 11:36. |

When you just have one title set in the queue and start encoding it will buzz right through at a decent 12 to 14 frames per second. As soon as you start adding more titles to the queue it starts slowing down. so I'm figuring that it thinks that it's performing multiple encoding but it's not it's still working on the same one title set. I don't have it set for performing multiple encodings.

@napouser: In the beta go to Global Options -> Advanced and check "Keep files from failed or stopped encodes". Will look at the other bug report.
@dr_ml422: Is it actually running multiple encodes? Can you check for multiple VidCoderWorker.exe processes running? When running multiple encodes it should show multiple items in queue as green/in progress. |

Hi RandomEngy,
thank you for developping this wonderful software One thing, I have to ask you. I use the portable version... When I update the software, I copy the new *.exe in the old folder an then I delete the old exe-file because I have stored many own presets which I use. This presets are apparently stored in the VidCoder.sqlite file. Can I do that so - is it right or should I create new all my profiles in every new software- version. Can I copy this *.sqlite- file from version 4 into the new 5 beta version. Thanks for your answer. |
