BD Rebuilder v0.28.03
I just updated the first post of this thread to include links to an update version of BD-RB (v0.28.03). Changes:
Code:
- Corrected an error introduced in v0.28.01 that could result in an incorrect update to the MPLS file or more likely "CorrectMPLS() 00063 2408". - Added code to reduce the number of iterations needed to reach CRF in the GetCRF() estimation process. It was affected by the MBTREE algorithm. - Updated the X264 executable to r1206. - Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes. |

Whenever you have a version that has a lot of code (like v0.28.01) there's always a need to post a couple quick follow-ups to fix the things you didn't catch in testing.
The next biggy will be support for DTS PiP audio. I'll probably have to write code for demuxing/remuxing it myself as TSMUXER looks like it's not going to see any updates for a while. I'm not really looking forward to it. |

btw jdobbs do you have any hint about the problems some of us had with some musical blurays, like the elton john one or the foo fighters, where we cant see any letters or options on the menu, so we cant access to the content of the bluray?

@leChameleon
I'm about halfway through the second pass of Valyrie Region A, VID_00172 (the one you posted about) and it is chugging away with no issues. My guess is that you've configured your codecs strangely or have something else set up wrong. I'm going to let it finish, then I'm going to set "Quicker Encode for Extras" and see how the sizing goes. [Added] Ok... I'm not sure what's going on, but back in your first post on Valyrie, this is the first part of what you posted: [Status] LABEL=VALKYRIE VERSION=v0.27.01 (beta) SOURCE_SIZE=42911885717 SOURCE_VIDEO_SIZE=42544183296 TARGET_SIZE=24117248000 REDUCTION=.55823249476346 RESIZE_1080=0 AUDIO_TO_KEEP=eng; SUBS_TO_KEEP=all BACKUP_MODE=0 QUICK=1 ENCODE_STEP=0 COMPLETED=10 REBUILD_COMPLETE=1 [00181] AUDIO=1 PGS= M2TS_TARGET=161535800 NSIZE=184645632 FLINK=0 MLINK=0 [00182] AUDIO=1 PGS= M2TS_TARGET=192287211 NSIZE=187392000 FLINK=0 MLINK=0 Here is my output for the same source: [Status] LABEL=VALKYRIE VERSION=v0.28.03 (beta) SOURCE_SIZE=42912135865 SOURCE_VIDEO_SIZE=42544183296 TARGET_SIZE=24117248000 REDUCTION=.558226615040767 RESIZE_1080=0 AUDIO_TO_KEEP=eng; SUBS_TO_KEEP=all BACKUP_MODE=0 QUICK=1 ENCODE_STEP=1 COMPLETED=2 [00181] AUDIO=1 PGS= M2TS_TARGET=161534098 NSIZE=165783552 FLINK=0 MLINK=0 [00182] AUDIO=1 PGS= M2TS_TARGET=192285186 NSIZE=187871232 FLINK=0 MLINK=0 Notice the difference in sizing (NSIZE) between yours and mine on 00181... what's up with that? The only difference is you computer and your settings -- and theres a 20MB difference in sizing? Are you using all the version listed for download in the first post of this thread? Somethings up... We'll see what happens overnight. I'll post the log in the morning when it completes. Last edited by jdobbs; 11th August 2009 at 05:27. |

I refer to my earlier post here:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...24#post1307824 I did it again with v0.28.02, 1-pass, BD5, FORCE_ENCODING=1 because I was hoping it might fix the sync issue. a) CRF sequence - Analyzing 26.16 10.00 22.53 20.20 18.83 18.62 18.42 18.23 18.05 18.18 18.15 18.12 18.10 18.08 18.09 [18.09] It is rather long -- but I just noticed that this has already been addressed with v0.28.3 by now. b) Movie is oversized: 4.886 GB c) Video/audio still out of sync. I'll try again with v0.28.03 and report back. |

Nsize
Hi jdobbs,
The information for each configuration of BD-RB is default from each form setting. I'm not modifying or pre-setting anything thus the values for NSIZE are output directly from BD-RB. Is your machine setup for 'hyper threading' or does it use multiple cores? Could it be that the code might be sensitive to the system environment outside of BD-RB's configuration that is causing this problem? If so can you please list BD-RB's external dependencies? What I'm uncertain of is why are the *.INF files quite different between v*26 and v*28 ? Thank you! [EDIT] I'll be more than happy to setup a VNC session if you'd like so you can see for yourself. I discovered there was some issue post v0.26.3 thus I started to test each video option against each audio option to help determine the root cause of the problem. This is why I was asking more specific questions earlier.
