H264

HI received this error from a cable company can anyone help me out?
we are providing them with H264 files encoded with Mainconcept with 608 cc info inserted .

This is the error I got

H.264 conformance error?:

PIC(86944), Unrecognized SEI payload type:32

I think it's an encoder issue can anyone recommend a good one?

According to the standard, the decoder is supposed to ignore SEI messages if it does not know their type. SEI message type 32 is described as "quality_layer_integrity_check" according to D.1 and G.13.1.9 of the current H.264 standard. You are not using an SVC encoder, do you? Maybe your encoder is abusing the previously (e.g. before SVC was integrated into the standard) reserved SEI message type 32 to store proprietary information.

Another vote for x264. It's the best H.264 encoder for nearly any possible task, it runs everywhere, it's fast, oh... and it's FREE
