DVD-lab DVD playing panned and scanned on DVD player.

Hi I'm wondering if I'm missing a setting in DVD-lab PRO to set the correct aspect ratio on DVD playback. I've authored 16:9 DVD's before but this is the first time I've authored a 4:3 DVD. It plays right in Power DVD with the black bars either side but when I play it on my DVD player it pans and scans so it fills the screen and cuts off the top and bottom. This is a VHS rip for a friend and they will just see the the intro text cropped off the bottom and they won't know why. My DVD player settings are right and I've tested two other 4:3 DVD's to make sure. So I had a look in the DVD-lab settings and my movie is showing as 4:3, the project properties are set to my menu being 4:3 and 16:9 movies to be letter boxed but there's no option on how it should handle 4:3 movies on a 16:9 screen. Does anybody have any idea if I'm missing something? Thank you.

You just missed the opportunity to mention the TV settings.

I’ll check when I get home but it’s just the native setting so things should play the ratio they’re meant to. I tried authoring the same video with Ifoedit and it played correctly so definitely something in DVD-Lab but I can’t work it out.
