I personally havent noticed any significant stutters or other playback problems with my high bitrate encodes authored with mplex and dvdauthor. But others seem to have, also afaict muxman is a tad bit faster. For reference: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...ighlight=imago and http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=115369 Thanks No.. i usually use lanczos4 as resizer so id like to have an option to edit the default automatic script so i dont have to edit the script every time i do an encode. ...or better yet, an gui option/dropdown menu to choose between filter configurations in a user editable avs(much like d2s frameserving tab) so the users could add a the resizers and filters they use regularely, that would be real sweet. By default are closed gops on or off for all encoders? And thanks much for adding cce!! I hope its possible to add opv and support for cce 2.5. Can you give some detail on what high quality/very high quality does for cce atm, 2 or more passes etc.? Edit: Just noticed, if i dont have a source file loaded and i launch the avs window and untick the automatic script checkbox, i get a runtime 13 type mismatch error and avstodvd exits. This is simply very very nice, i like it more and more.
Ive tested: small clips both pal and ntsc, mp3 and ac3 source audio. Cce 2.50 with ecl, QuEnc and HC all available quality profiles, with and without encoding audio and lanczos4 as resizer. So far so good, nothing to report from me atm other than.. Thanks, and keep up the good work |

Greetings,
Thankyou for a great product. I am eagerly looking forward to trying it out very soon. Thanks as well for adding CCE support. If you are still seeking more info on how to integrate with the different versions of CCE, jdobbs creator of the wonderfull DVD-RB program seems to have a steady grasp on the subject. Cheers, Rick |

Have just tried a few clips. They are XviD 25 f/s avi music vids. I set up to use HCenc. All goes well and the quality is very nice. I have checked NTSC and have tried with and without pulldown. When HCenc is running under pulldown it says 'no', even though I've ticked it.
Is there something I'm missing? Should pulldown be used on a 25 f/s source if going to NTSC? Thanks Last edited by MysticE; 11th July 2007 at 22:23. |

I have a very practical attitude: if the output video quality is good (both on PC and TV) and audio is not out of sync, why wondering if pulldown is needed?
I am really not an expert of PAL to NTSC conversion, but, according to HCenc, pulldown is to be used only when going from 23.976 to 29.97 and not from 25 to 29.97. Maybe some Doom9 NTSC gurus may help us.... Bye ________ Honda CD125 Last edited by MrC; 25th January 2011 at 05:12. |

Well, yes, almost 2 years for fun There is currently 2 Portuguese Projects alive : D2MP and AVI2ISO, once there was another called AVIXDVD in which AVI2ISO was based on, but it died. D2MP uses Directshow encoding for audio, much the same as I use that for RMVB or other formats. Mine was mostly stressed on CCE SP2 and fast encoding for movies in Dual Core Systems...but that is something I have to do, directshow MP3 VBR to PCM The main problem is that I use High Definition matrices which throws qFactor to Higher levels in CCE, if someone uses them in movies more than 1CD. I don't think Roba will fix that because it gives a smaller qfactor in that matrices aside my own simulation code Another problem is using VB.NET and C#, a miscellaneous of both, which needs Framework 2.0 I wish you good luck, MrC Last edited by Delta2; 21st July 2007 at 19:32. |
